We're on the hunt for Magmacite today and while we do that will try and find any opportunities to make a few bucks. Ideally we need a hell planet and that exactly what we find....eventually.

a good (easy) place to get drone parts is the Rogue Planet in the starting systems, they don't have shields :) and wont gang up on you.

Spanj-a-roo! So in the swarm clusters the tallest one has the core. Also you don't have to get out to loot them. If you blow the generator it blows the core. Then you just stand with your back to your door and launch your drone out to pick up the loot. If the box does not get blown when the core blows then you can just pop the box with your drone so you don't have to get out of your vehicle or jump into the harvester. It may be a bit harder with your larger ship. However its very easy to do with a smaller ship. Its how I normally get my aux cores started early game. Of the cluster of 3 there will be 2 of them with drone parts and each box will have something like 2 to 5 parts. Also their shields do not come back. So you can zip in, burn down the shields and then back off and wait for yours to recharge.

I would also loot the harvest boxes, some of them will contain a up to a couple hundred platinum ore :)

The CV I use for loot has a drone hole in the floor and is small enough not to worry about fuel (has a mining turret as well)

Spanj is gifted, he hears footprints. That poi has been around for at least 2 years but I've only run across it a few times usually on dead planets. It's a Hell planet, they only have dialup internet, AOL/Compuserve/Prodigy are popular again and they keep looping the Yahoo yodeling commercials 24/7.

I noticed some of the traders allow you to trade to and from your connected hotbar, but some you have to have it in your inventory. Just last night I visited a Polaris Alloy Production and I had to park the Materest on his face just so I could sell him 9 furnaces (using the connected hotbar). XD

You can buy/sell from the toolbar, you cannot turn in missions from the toolbar.

IIRC the Polaris Refinery has a "license" you can buy to use the Furnaces.

Enjoyed the episode boss. Just one thing though.... If the POI has ABANDONED in the name in purple, then you know it's a Legacy proctology exam. The whole "I'm not prepared" thing is shenanigans. If it's purple, you go Rambo. Not Gumby, RAMBO! LMAO. Also, enjoyed the tip on the drones. The short fat one you aim for the nads. The tall boy you aim for the throat. Good looking out.

Not all Abandoned POIs are very involved though. For example, Theta Labs or the Abandoned Outpost. Also actual Legacy POIs like the Unknown Structure and Unknown Helix.

Ah the White Desert planet created (at lease this version) as a starter world that intended to keep the player from making a CV, basically warp off with an SV first. Which is why there's no high level loot containers... as that's where you got your high level mats back in A11.5... (I really need to get around to bugging Raven with an updated version lol)

Hey Spanj, do you have a guide with building tipps? Like this symmetrical plane build mode and that stuff. I recently started Reforged Eden and got into your videos. I'm now sitting on a warp capable GV (ofc SV, too) and finished the Main Story from Empyrion / Starting the Reforged Eden Story now.

Do you need to discover drones in drone space before they will appear on hell planets? I have explored 4 hell planets and found no drones :(

I haven't had a chance to play 1.7 yet. Can anyone tell me what sulfur is used for? Excellent job taking out the drone harvesters with an SV; the railguns are incredibly effective. I usually use a small cv with a few of the multiple rocket launchers because the cv shields are much stronger, but if you can be as precise as you are with an SV it looks pretty easy. I also get bogged down with wanting to loot everything because there are so many advanced components to deconstruct. I end up spending all day with harvesters and mining on these planets. I'm too greedy to leave anything behind :)

I've heard that sulfur can be sold to an Ammunition Factory POI, but I haven't seen one yet.

With so much added to trading this patch, It would be interesting to do a playthrough of solely trading with the goal of simply accumulating money and using that money to buy parts and materials to build bigger ships. Never mine or salvage or fight anything. idk. I think it would be interesting.
