Each Bandit ship will have a reinforced container in it you can loot for Tags that you can hand in to Colonists for money and improved standing with their faction.

Those bandits usually have bandits insignia in armored crates so you will not destroy them.

I agreed totally with your comment about dark settings and seeing very little, yet we still play the game for the things they have done well few as they may be. Intentionally created bad lighting is my SECOND biggest negative review of the STYLISTIC choices made by the devs. My number ONE complaint is the very poor aiming reticles especially ship board ones. They seem to noit care at all that meany gamers especially us older ones have color vision issues so they constantly use a red reticle on brown and other colored backgrounds where our vision blends those colors almost as one.

The still only half finished Storyarcs in Vanilla and also RE are the biggest bummer i think. Look at starfield how engaging all those storys are (or X Seria or heck Wing Commander^^) All this gets you in the game playing along. Gives you guidelines to progess and explore.. well if it would be there and used for it. You mioght could crowdsource it to the fans to collect storychapters and ideas. If you dont have the time out of sticking your head in code. They could also let the players build poi for it (as a contest or just ask for it. and so on.. you showed it by bulding the Brotherhood how it can be done. Also.. i stumpled up this mission a while ago and was realy impressed. Maybee the citie needs more Npc, the Major a new Charmodel (and not your long mised Terry Partner), the Pirate could be less just a Zirax commander standing awkeward in a place. Well but it shows what a good small sidemission on a planet can look like and how engaging it it. Also the detail the com relays are hidden is nice. It might be worth thinking abpout how you can find and start the mission with less secret knowlage about the game. Visiting the citie and directly speaking to the major on the right planet is a realy small chance. The major for example could just radio your ship with a interresting cryptic messageon and invite you to its citie. And IDA could speak up and say something like: Spanj do this Meassage sounded to you like an generic advertisement to you? Yes IDA and i would realy like you to filter this Spam out of my Comchannels. I dont want to be Spammed on with this Crap every Planetfall we Made. Thank you!!! Yes Captain, i inderstand. I will adjust the Spam Filters to your likeling immediately. ... But Captain you might want to know some strange details about this one. The real reason your somehwat Intelligent AI Companion was explicetly slipping this trugh the Filters? Ok IDA, Ok. You got me interested. Speak up whats the matter with this one. Well this Message was send using a verry small angled low power radio beam following our flightpath after entry. No one else could hear it ormight be targeted with it. Also folowed by the fact it was lightly encrypted with an old outdated UCA Standard. Well IDA thats indeed "strange". Yes Captain, Thats what i thought to. I think it is a hidden call for help. Using Methods to not get the attention from someone else located on this planet or system. Even if they would get it. It still only sounds like an Generic Ad to them they hear all the time. Well thats some clever thinking IDA. From who ever sand this and also from you. I appologice with respect. I put a Hud Marker on the Map for you. There was a set of Corrdinates in the Stream. I think someone wil be there on the ground to soeak to.. See? Thats 10min playing wiht idea and twritign it down. The story gets ritcher and it ads adding functionality to the game since it largely widens the chance of even finding this mission, could also be promted on System Entry and not only when on the planet.

There are plenty factions already. What the game need is a story line. The alien threat is too complicated to follow. You'll end up very soon with impossible to beat ships. Even groups like the Chaos Crew bunched together struggle. Battle balancing need a overhaul. Be it ship to ship combat or mobs. I mean light armor is non existent. I get one shoot by the Mercs. So either the POI balance is impossible (generally way too many aliens) or you hit serious combat problems like shields that simply won't budge. There is also no threat identification. You can not see how dangerous that ship might be you just encountered. Threat identification program. Wich know the ship classes from a Bibliothek (wich you might expand by quests or combat with these ships) Armor, shields weapon statistic. With a suggestion to run if you have no chance. Red alert !

hmmm. just another example of fighting cvs being completely useless. im surprised those cvs even stuck around that long without just disappearing. last time i killed a cv all i did was take out the rear thrust and the thing "self destructed" in seconds. it wasnt reinforcements either

I wouldn't worry, they're not as rare as people think. Maybe on a multi-player server they are, but in SP they are an easy find.

As far as I know, there is no retractable variant for that turret, so Spanj should definitely sell it! :)
