Could you imagine a horror game playing as 'lil Gizmo trying to survive the night against a horde of gremlins? Afterall, despite its charm & humor Gremlins did start as a horror movie.

Gremlins 2 for the NES is one of the more accurate movie adaptations on the console. I love how many references from the movie the team behind the game slipped in, such as when you're in the TV Studio stage, you walk through the sets for the microwave cooking show and the late night horror show from the movie. And as mentioned in the video, a number of the monsters from the movie appear throughout the game. It's kind of amazing that a movie like Gremlins 2, which had very little plot, got such an accurate game, whereas a movie like Batman (which got an NES game from the same publisher Sunsoft) got a game that is awesome, but doesn't really follow the movie that well.

Imagine a mobile gremlins game like FNAF special delivery but you only have Gizmo, can give him different weapons, accessories to wear, and skins. You fight gremlins trying to approach you and hit them with a flaming arrow like in Gremlins 2 to set them up blazing and melting to win, but they come in different waves each encounter depending on specific conditions

I remember seeing this movie when it came out. The theaters back then were totally different, they had a red curtain that closed halfway through the movie so people can go out and smoke lol👍

6:45 Yeah, Sunsoft had an EXCELLENT sound\music team around this time. All their games had fantastic soundtracks, but they tend to be overlooked when people talk about great NES and Gameboy music.

Naoki Kodaka was the name of the man who did the music for a lot of Sunsoft's game's back in the day, such as Gremlins 2, Blaster Master, Batman, Fester's Quest, and Journey to Silius. He definitely knew how to make the NES sound better than it ever did.

Everyone argues whether Die Hard is or is not a Christmas movie, but everyone forgets that Die Hard 2 is ALSO a Christmas movie

Thats because DIe Hard is not a Christmas movie....Being a movie that happens to be set around Christmas, does not make it a Christmas movie....They're having a party for a deal that was closed that day, not a Christmas party...Unlike Gremlins where Gizmo is purchased and given as a Christmas present

Gremlin's, Goonies , Ghost Busters, Willow, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Star Wars, Freddy, Jason, TSMC, and practical effects generating enthusiasm ruled the day. Imagination was a projection onto games rather than a flashy graphics based mental ideology. We loved what we had because we imagined ourselves in that role.

In regards to the original movie, The final product is a great movie, but can be improved by reincluding the deleted scenes present on the DVD release; some vital plotline information would once again be present. Did you know that Mrs. Fleagle and the Bank Presidant were PERPOSELY FORCING people into bankruptcy so _They_ could buy all the land and sell it for industrail use? The gremlins literally SAVED Kingston Falls; The sequal actually SHOWS it's version of this (Gremlins infestation leads to better future for everyone).

I think that we need a modern console port/remaster for gremlins 2 for the nes where for a feature you can choose two styles. one where it has the original graphics being 8 bit and the other being of course, a HD style where it would have the same graphics like new super mario switch

The OG Gameboy Gremlins game was like... probs the third game next to Link's Awakening and Robocop 3 I ever owned and I had that shit perfected. Gonna grab a rom and relieve some good (and fustrating) memories.

I played Gremlins unleashed and stripe vs. Gizmo all the time in 03 as a kid. I loved the Gremlins and watched them all the time. I wished I lived in the 80s in 03 to have experienced the gremliness but 03 was pretty close in retrospect. Hope Zach Galligan will be in the series or in the 3rd one. His career never passed from Gremlins, don't know why, it's a shame.

Gremlins Diehard Batman Returns and Shazam are Christmas movies. Gremlins has great Xmas music and snow and Gizmo is a gift ..... Shazam more so it's really about family and the family you are given more than born into and giving to that family.

Neither Die Hard or Shazam are Christmas movies.....Die Hard is an action film that happens to be set in December, its has nothing to do with the story..He's there to see his wife whom he is separated from and the company happens to be having a party to celebrate a deal that they just closed. Shazam has nothing to do with Christmas, its winter, being set in winter, Christmas isn't mentioned, the story has nothing to do with Christmas and neither does the family thing you mentioned. Gremlins and Batman Returns are literally set at Christmas, Christmas/holidays are actually mentioned, they actually have something to do with the plot, its not they just happen to be set in the winter time.

It's so hard to time the jumps when you are bouncing on the springs. I remember a lot of times ending up falling into the abyss instead of making the jump because of it.

Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie, it just happens to take place on Christmas. But Gremlins is about the actual Christmas gift, it is totally a Christmas movie. I like the second Gremlins a bit more because they doubled down on the zany, but it is not a Christmas movie. The NES game had great music and looked good for the time, but was "NES hard"

@@DeanIrvine Yeah. With Die Hard you've got so much Christmas material and references. Constant carols, both being sung and in the score. The Christmas party. Decorations everywhere. The faux snowfall at the end, when John and Holly kiss. Not to mention "estranged family reunited" is a very Christmasy subplot. There's even a Christmas miracle! That's what really does it for me. ("You asked for a miracle, Theo? I give you the F... B... I!! " *cue Beethoven* )
