the part of the elevator that needs to face the elevator is the green square. the reason it isn't working is because neither one of the elevators is facing the wood planks. rotating this should fix it if you want to use your elevator without a lot of redstone work: 1. Name each elevator block by right clicking it. Not necessarily required, but it will be confusing otherwise. 2. Make a screen. Place it somewhere you can reach while on the elevator 3. Make a screen controller near the screen(s). For your purposes, it will not require power. Click scan in the controller's menu. You may need multiple controllers depending on the distance between the screens, but the range is pretty big so probably not. 4. Make an elevator button screen module. Shift right click the elevator block with it in your hand. This will bind it to your elevator. 5. Shift right click the screen and insert the module. (or right click with the module) 6. Repeat steps 3-4 for each screen you use 7. The display of the elevator buttons can be customized by shift right clicking the screen and clicking the rectangle next to the module slot that should say "EButton". This is required if you want to label floors as anything larger than 2 characters The elevator can now be controlled with any screen you have set up

The best way to use a heat generator is to maximize the number of sides touching lava, you can have up to 5. Make a vertical checkerboard pattern. Bonus energy if they are in the Nether, if you get interdimensional energy, you can do that.

Just want to put in a recommendation here: unless you've modified the modlist for ATM3 - R, the Hooked mod is EXTREMELY useful for mining. It's basically a Zelda-style Hookshot, and in it's upgraded versions, can launch multiple hooks and suspend you between them. It's perfect for scaling cliffs, moving fast underwater, and mining cave ceilings and ravine walls.

Well Ben, it isn't stupid but to get the most out of passive lava generation you need them to have lava on all sides apart from the cable side, the more sides lava is on the more power it makes

Yep. Just put an ingot mold in, redstone clock, hopper into a chest, empties out, makes ingots of everything, done. It's so easy. :(

@@loyaldrone7365 You only need one ingot cast (or nugget cast). And I'm pretty sure all those ingots are the remains of metals after alloying, since the smeltery alloys as much as it can, rather than in whole. For example, if a certain alloy requires 2 parts of one metal and 1 part of another metal, and you have 1 ingot of each, it will use the whole ingot of the 2-parter and half an ingot of the 1-parter, resulting in nuggets of the 1-parter (and sometimes nuggets of the alloy, depending on the conversion in question).

You can compress human remains to form a diamond, put it in a necklace and they'll always be with you. Well, minus the stuff that was ground off while cutting and polishing your dead loved one, that stuff is probably collected and used in drill bits and grinding wheels.

about the diamonds, the diamonds that are dug up have imperfections. the ones that are manmade are completely perfect. as a result of imperfections, they have beautiful color fractions. the perfect ones have less fraction, but this is barely noticeable.

Pocket furnace smelts items in your inventory while it's active. From what I've heard, it'll also try to smelt the armor that you're wearing (if your modpack lets you smelt the kind of armor that you're wearing), so be careful with it.

Mekanism Heat gens prefer to have 6 sides covered in lava. The easiest way to set them up is place a block, move to the left or right two blocks and place a block again (repeat until satisfied), place the heat gen on top of the blocks and then break the spacer block beneath them. Step 2 is create a box with one block separation to allow lava flow on the front and sides of the machines. Step 3 is place wires on the back linking them together and finally SHIFT-Right click a bucket of lava on the top of each machine. This will cover the top, left, right, and front of each machine generating the most they can. The only way they produce more is pumping in lava (via Ender tank and pump -- aka from Nether dimension). Another machine that follows the same mechanic as the Heat gens is Thermal Expansion's Aqueous Accumulator.

To Beepulon formerly known as Ben........ with the Heat Generator it works with source blocks of lava, and its every side of the generator that isn't the plug.... so each generator could be surrounded by 5 source blocks for maximum generation....as i understand it.

Heat generators generate power based on how many sides are touching lava. The best setup is having lava on 5 sides and a power cable on the sixth.

If you right click on the generator you will see a square on the left for putting lava bucket and a lava tank full of lava when you put a bucket in If you don't want to put lava in manually, get some kind of magma crucible and pump infinite cobblestone into it with a cobblestone generator, then pump infinite lava from the crucible into the generators.

Since you ask for my wisdom... any fluid pipe into an ingot cast could turn all this mess of melted metal back into ingot passively. Just add a lever on it for when you actually want to make alloy. Also WTF ben, there is infinite wood in that chest, you you dont burn burn charcoal in your generator yet ? Finaly, if refined storage is installed, this is much more easier to build then applied energistic.

Yes, they do. That's their main function. I don't know if they accept solid fuel, but I do know lava goes in the internal buffer as well as on the outside. They also make way more energy in the nether off of the dimensional ambient heat.
