I have some *tips for Ben* (and everyone!) regarding fuel efficiency. I've sorted the steps from least to most tedious. *Step 1. Turn the Logs into planks.* One Log burns for as long as one Plank, thereby quadrupling value. *Step 2. Don't turn the Logs into Planks, make charcoal instead.* This increased efficiency works out to 33.3% compared to using planks, or 433% compared to using logs. *Step 3. Turn charcoal into blocks of charcoal.* This adds an additional 11% output compared to using charcoal. If you go with this step, your logs will last roughly 6 times as long as they do now. This was sourced from the Minecraft Wikipedia. Math done by me (unfortunately).

Pour molten metals into seared tanks -- you don't need to cast full blocks that way, and no unwanted alloys. You can put them back into the smeltery using a faucet that pours down into a drain (kind of like how Duncan makes obsidian).

Immersive engineering Oil is a pretty good source of power in this pack. It not only creates diesel but also gasoline, which can be burned in a combustion dynamo. Until then windmills are probably enough, or maybe a bonsai on a coal generator.
