My finest hour ! , watching this video took me back over 40 years ago when we had yards like this in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania . the Chinese people came in and bought just about ALL the yards out , crushed and shipped the metal back to China . Hard to believe but what a finish! I too liked the red and white top 58 or 9 (I think) plymouth/dodge car. I really honestly believe with some time and the parts there, it could be built to the nuts. The guy with the nice cars in that shop/quonset hut, I don't know what I would do... your comment; at least the spark plugs are in the right spot ... drop a zero is right cause it ain't easy making them look as good as you do. Looks like my old place. I'm down to 13 cars, trucks, and motorcycles. That's my limit. No more selling ! These are pretty damn rough, and I never parted out anything that wasn't a total rollover wreck. I diversified though. Not just mopars, and I got away from the long eye candy. Not as much fun to drive, straight liners, and car show cars. I'm a driver, twisty back roads are more fun ! My passion is a-body barracudas now. I think I spotted something green and fun growing there, lol !

Rust never sleeps in states where they salt the roads in the winter cars will rust from the inside out, and it's nearly impossible to stop it ,a car can sit there outside for years with a "good "paint job on it, but eventually it will start blistering through.

@jaredanthony80706 жыл бұрын
Such a damn shame. Chevelles camaros firebirds olds 442s Buick gs impalas tri 5s.. so many damn nice gms sitting rusting with all those dodges although the mopars are a little more... ventilated... so many opportunities that probably will never leave that yard. They are getting expensive to buy because they either are fully restored, lost in a yard to never be seen or rusted to shit.
@GarryFullerSr6 жыл бұрын
Yea, People like that is just plain Assholes.
@chumleye11125 жыл бұрын
@mark rylander Except for the fact most of these hoarders are asking ridiculous prices for a lot of basket cases and would rather hoard them then see them be restored. The real root of the problem is there are too many asshole flippers in this world that ruined it for most of us who don't have an endless supply of money to pay ridiculous prices for cars that would cost huge amounts of time and money to fix. They have driven the prices of these cars through the roof and ruined it for the ones that would truly love to restore and DRIVE a vehicle for the classic it is, rather than flipping it only to make a quick buck. The flippers are the real ASSHOLES.

crownvic ca and then tell them to try and go buy one from one of these places. Either they wont sell. It's not worth buying. Or it's far more expensive than it's worth on top of having to get it out from between who knows how many. Yeah theres a ton out there still that could be saved but they probably wont ever see a road again.

StopThemNow08 possibly but there did seem to be a lot of solid sheet metal. Trunks and floors can be replaced although its expensive. Hell you could build a car from new sheet metal and put the parts from the worst car like a dash and fender tag on it 😂

i wonder how long it takes in a cars lifeline before most cars you come across are valued shells, or highly restored? 30 yrs? maybe 40? Of course depends on the cars desirability too.
@deanchenry6 жыл бұрын
Cool but sad to see them rot away
@01trsmar6 жыл бұрын
Not rotting,these cars were all saved from being crushed years ago and most will be restored one day !!! As the cars slowly come to the market..Look at the worse shape cars already out,people restore rotted shells...I restored many rotted Moaprs..My 69 Charger RT was a rotted shell that rolled over and all the parts picked off...Today it could be a show car but I dont go to shows but in a Mopar Club lol...I got to Friday Night Drags and srive the car 25,000 miles per year and its just my weekend car !!! I also have a 68 Charger RT,69 318 now 512 ci built 440 and many others that I have stored to resotre on day or not,as I come across others that may be better /easier to restore etc... These cars are not rotting,only sad thing is some had nice interiors and they have no glass or windows open and the pristine dash,door panels and or whole interior is ruined by not having it covered..I seen many like that and bought many like that,sad but they were not crushed and are here !!!
