The honor system is pretty screwy in this game. I shot all the people to get the moonshine for the execution which is fine but lose honor for looting corpses in the cave where the cougar is. I even lost honor for dealing with the fake shaman in Butcher Creek and that is one guy who deserves whatever happens to him. As good as the game is, it's far from perfect.

Jumped to revert the camera when i heard the screaming but the game gives you so little time to react compared to other things like armed ambushes out on the road. I ran from the lemoyne raiders because a while before I encountered them, an npc started shooting me, I ran to the cops and they just let him keep shooting, I killed him and got a bounty, and the cops tried to kill me. Always found it strange what the game wants to give me dishonor for. Canonically arthur is a murderous thief who doesnt care about people beyond his camp, he isnt cruel but hes still a bad man whose main goal is I'll gotten gains. But looting a corpse of a guy who tried to duel you, or brawled you? Shooting horses to stop a chase instead shooting the men? Shooting dogs trying to rip your throat out? Idk why its dishonor to kill the rottweilers, they can instantly kill you if you're not standing on a rock getting turned into swiss cheese or on your horse. Irl if you couldnt take 30 bullets in the face and torso, bounty hunters coming at you with dogs, youd kill the dogs so you could focus on taking cover from the hunters bullets, but here if you want to avoid dishonor, you have to break the logic and hide on a rock in the open. Or get on your horse and get aimbotted by a guy you shot 3 times but hes still able to hit you in the face while both of you are galloping at max speed 30 meters away.

@@theSolo33 the game gives you a high bounty as part of the story unavoidably. And sometimes the dogs dont disengage after you kill everyone. I have to hop on and off my horse until they randomly decide sometimes. And also your advice is to kill all of the hunters before a single dog can run up to you is unreasonable. The dogs are fast and unless you're just that good or using dead eye all the time. You cant straight aim kill all of them without using op guns imo. I personally like using the sidearms mostly. Rifle round capacity gives me too much of a window lmao. Also I like using the shotgun when I can

if you guys are annoyed about bounty hunters, you know you can just run away from them, it makes them disappear then you can go right back to your previous location, they go so slow you can outrun them as long as they havent spotted you yet

It doesn't make much sense to me. A group of Raiders antagonized me I fist-fought them. After a point in the fight, they drew their pistols. if you melee someone with a drawn gun it disarms them. I caught the "Unarmed Assault" charge even though they started it and elevated it to gunfire. I started a fight in the Valentine saloon, the Sheriff came in and... watched the fight. When I won he gave me a Move Along order and whilst I was technically wanted, I got no bounty. Valentine again, I shot at some O'Driscolls unprovoked. I ran towards Sheriff Malloy's and he shot back at them. I've never been able to get the Sheriff to aid me in a gunfight since. Rode my horse into another guy's horse and jostled him slightly. He drew a shotgun and pointed at me, I blasted his head off, near Emerald Ranch, plenty of witnesses. Didn't lose any honor or become wanted. This system has some complexity to it, to a point that a glitch could well be interpreted as a feature. If anyone can explain any of these, please do!

Something I noticed wathcing that I dont like in this game you can see around 1 minute. Arthur shoots him 3 times in the back with soft lead rounds I'm assuming. He is still able to get up an run practically. But throw a throwing knife at non lethal parts of the body and itll kill faster in comparison. I hate shooting guys close range with strong ass revolvers and they just dont go down, or they still have the absurdity to be able too shoot back still.

one time I wanted to turn thief to the police, so I hogtied him and started carrying him. Then lawmens started shooting me from all sides, because I “kidnaped a person”. I HATE Saint Denis for that. I remember last part of “the artist’s way”, and after completing the mission you are getting wanted for murder or something like that. I mean, how can I defeat three guys with a knife by just knocking them out? I’m not sure if you won’t get wanted if knocked them out. Just take Valentine police. They will defend you if your enemy are using a weapon against you. And how about SD lawmens? They will frickin watch how you are being stabbed by a lemoyne raider, and shoot you for antagonising people. That’s why i visit Saint Denis only for trapper
