CPI and SPI is used to compare projects of different sizes. EAC = BAC/CPI is when you assume cost will not change. EAC = AC + bottom up ETC is when the original budget was fundamentally flawed. EAC = AC + BAC - EV is assuming the cost variance will not happen again. ETC = BAC - EV should be for unearned budget. If TCPI is more than 1 then that it bad.

Thanks for the informative video. It would have been more informative if you would solve sample problem for each formula.

you should expand the acronym. it's easy to remember the visuals afterwards
@SarahPaine5 жыл бұрын
Agreed spell all out with acronym next to it and slow down - speaking pretty rapidly
@aatali20015 жыл бұрын
you might be new to PMP however who have done PMP training those ppl remember the meaning of all acronym. that's the reason she might not have given in details
@jslays114 жыл бұрын
@@aatali2001 Yes, but it's good to keep in mind that the target audience is not just people who have been through the training, but are planning on going through the training in the near future.

These are extremely basic. You will remember these formulas better when you understand they are only a format. You could use these same formulas for other knowledge areas like quality performance index QPI. PMI is not testing on anything but these few formulas she is reviewing but, there are an infinite number of other analysis methods.

At 11:53 you discuss the BTC but the slide and associated equations ... as well as the vocal narrative talk about the ETC ... EXCEPT at one point the narrator switches the spoken description to BTC but the slide still shows ETC; am I missing something?
@ComputerTherapy5 жыл бұрын
Have spent 20 minutes playing this segment over and over and something is seemingly off. The discussion references a different formula but slides back into the correct slide in the 2nd bullet point. This is NOT a criticism, I would just like to have clarification as I find this information extremely helpful as I am attempting to understand the concepts more than to just memorize the formulas. Thanks for a great video ....

OK, so I tried not to say anything, listened to this with such hope that it was just a misstatement, but "pestimistic"? I mean, you have it spelled correctly (without a T) but really? Has no one told you that it is pronounced without a t? The slides are fabulous though!!! well, besides that added t. :-)
@Ivan-ry7vm5 жыл бұрын
Valuable lectures as this one is hard to find, so no one cares about "pestimistic". If your goal is to correct grammar of pronunciation, this is not the video for the purpose. Try English language videos. Our goal is to pass the exam!
