Same bro this hit me hard had a few tears well up at this. Like you said it’s not every day you see guys like Wild Bill and Jake and Sig and all get emotional but seeing it gives you a real sense of how much they love and care their crew and how much this hurts losing Nick. Rest in peace in the Sea of heaven, rest well indeed Nick.

Bill is an asshole I’m sorry. My dad owns three bars in Pacific Northwest and bill used to go to one all the time. The way he tells it on the show is he missed family time cause fishing but he wasn’t there even when he wasn’t fishing. Ran up giant tabs and eventually stopped paying in ok time. Whenever you would ask him man to man like he states on the show he threw a fit and acted insulted about it. Escort women would come in looking for him all the time. It was a nightmare.

I don't know if this is appropriate to say, but Nick is part of Phil's crew now. And they'll always be watching over the rail and down on the many family they have throughout the fleet. Rest well, Nick.

That's the thing with a show that runs for so long. You literally grow up with them. Sig's daughter Mandy? Yeah, you can see her as a preteen (probably younger, I can't remember) in one of the early seasons. Now she's a full grown (and quite beautiful, it has to be said) adult out fishing with her dad instead of just greeting him on the shore after a season.

He was such a good example of loyalty and honor. Wild Bill def had a spot for him in his heart. I hate to say it but I always felt like he thought Nick was his son. His actual son was a bad leader and lazy and probably still is. I think Nick relapsed and got a hold of some H that had fentanyl instead of heroin. Poor dude. He seemed to be doing so good.

It's the #1 most dangerous job in the world. Those crews have unparalleled comradery, every single man's life on the crew depends on every individual. When you work that close to death every day you get real close to the people around you at work. And it doesn't matter what color you are or if you are a genius or sixth grade education everybody on the crew are brothers and on the same level. RIP Nick.

The show of universal respect to Bill was emotional & overwhelming ✊️😔. I’d be willing to “bet the bank” on the fact that if any of the other boats lost a crew member & they organised a farewell like this, Bill & the “Summer Bay” crew would be the first guys out there for the memorial ☝️😔. This was an incredible gesture for a guy who was literally like Bill’s very own son.

seeing everyone show up and the bag pipes begin to play, it's impossible to not feel emotional in that moment. Followed by everyone's speeches and shouts for Nick as they throw his hook the last time and fire off their flares. I may not have watched much of the show, but this put me to tears from seeing and feeling the amount of love and respect all of these crews had for Nick.

Wild Bill and Jake, two of the toughest skippers emotionally, breaking down and crying of Nick just shows how much he was loved. Rest easy, Nick. I'm sure the seas are much calmer, wherever you are.

I lost my best friend to opiates last year. I still mourn everyday. The pain and loss these people feel is palpable and I am truly sorry for everyone's lost. Stay clean guys. I got out and if I can you can too.

This was a sad deal any way you slice it... Nick was truly loved by all. It was HARD seeing his family on the ship. Seeing Wild Bill get emotional stabbed me in the heart ❤️ I'll be honest. As well as seeing Jake break down too. God bless Nick's family and every single ship and person that came to show Nick LOVE on the Berring Sea. To lose him on a accidental drug overdose at just 33 years old really made me emotional. It's just a sad situation that no family should have to endure. We all know... Unfortunately life isn't fair and tomorrow is never guaranteed so we must CHERISH everyday were here and live life to the fullest with no regrets. Nothing but LOVE ❤️ and respect for all the Cast & crew of Deadliest Catch. RIP Nick McGlashan 🙏🏼 💔 😪 😔 😞
