I watched my brother struggle with addiction and it eventually took his life. I did everything I could to try and help him. Sadly it just didn’t work. I miss my brother everyday. Get help if you need it.

This brings back very bad memories. I lost someone very near and dear to my heart November 1st of 2020. Since, my life has never been the same. He helped me create something that brought me joy for many years. Losing him, i lost the joy that our creation gave me so i gave it up. I lost my mom to opioid overdose and this episode hit home. She told my sister and me if she ever passed she wanted us to spread her ashes at her and our favorite beach so whenever we went there she’d be with us. Opioid addiction is a true epidemic right now and just horrible.

Idk how many times I've seen friends as ashes. It's its own kind of devastating. Those kids, the family, the friends . . . you can actually feel that pain a bit yourself. It hurts.

Even before I was a father, it always hurt me so much to watch a father (mother's too) have to cry over losing a child. And I know it hurts to lose any child but I know it has to really hurt to say goodbye to your son. Parents aren't supposed to go thru that 😢
