There are the obvious ones, the fashion trends 2023 we see everyday, they won't let us look away. An the less annoying ones we still require the departure for. I asked you what your most loved and hated ones are and apparently all of you had a tough year, cause I only received negative trend comments. From omnipresent Adidas sneakers to accessories we have seen on the runways of Coperni, Prada, Gucci and everywhere else.
Let me know what your most hated or loved trend was/ is/ will forever be, love you forever my weird friends.

A trend I wanna see more is people wearing their own style regardless of trends if it’s your style it will look good on you but seeing everyone dressed the same is so boring even if it’s very eccentric styles

You make fashion sound like an abusive relationship: it takes 10 years to forget the nastiness, the abuse, and 10 years to miss it. You're not wrong. The 2000's are coming back now. But I remember very well what a cruel mistress the early 2000's were, what an authentic hot mess, when even very expensive designer clothes looked so cheap. I am not falling into that trap

honestly it feels abusive sometimes 🤣 and I can't wait for the 2010's to be back! Back to good old Dries, Louis Vuitton and Celine 💘

@@tubaavalon Well, the low rise pants have been pushed for 4th year now, right? Im not sure anyone besides Bella is going to do it, but it's here now. Although I suppose it was already over in the 2010s.

I really appreciate the last part of this video. I feel like a lot of times when people partake in fashion discourse they forget that some of these trends aren’t trends to people. It’s part of their culture. It’s part of their personal style and I feel like when people bash it the way that they do, lot of times it comes from a very entitled Eurocentric standpoint.

To be honest it’s only honest if it’s coming from those countries. It’s completely random and not honest if it’s coming from someone from US if they literally have no cultural connection to football

omg i laughed so much! such a refreshing thing to see a female youtuber being funny and having opinions AND NOT apologizing for it! not ending every sentence with “sorry but that’s my opinion”. we have nothing to apologize for! it’s funny to see this as well bc im from brazil and here besides the oversized clothing most of there trends aren’t really that popular unless you hang out with college fashion students or something. like skinny jeans never really went out of style here, i see people using them all the time - but the baggy pant is very popular as well. and this blokecore thing too is not even a big trend here, like it’s always been common to wear futebol jerseys if you’re a fan, but now the fashion gringa girlies are doing it and elevating it so it seems “cooler” but countries where futebol has a big impact this was never really a trend that passes. just seems kinda silly to me to year jerseys with dress pants and loafers, but i get the appeal. i know people who dress with futebol jerseys like almost everyday lol so it’s hard to see this like a sophisticated fashion choice. anyway, i loved the whole oversized thing so much (i still do) specially bc i had gained weight from covid etc but now i’m thinking hm maybe i should make that shirt smaller or hm maybe this big ass pants wasn’t really a smart buying. it can be very restricting - oversized pants in the wrong material. but i think they became a staple in my wardrobe and they are “me”, so it’s gonna be hard to tone it down - and i’m trying, found vintage pieces at the thrift that aren’t very oversized but not really skinny so i like them!

Haha thank youu! And thanks or the insight on Brazil, now that you say it I also remember that specifically brazlian team tricots have always been hip in Germany as well, due to the great players of course. It’s funny how this trend is literally a cultural aspect in some regions and is being perceived so differently in that context. Thanks again for this comment! 💕

i personally love bows as an addition to hairstyles. i go to an anglican school where there’s strict uniform rules and hair has to be tied up. there’s not much you can really do to express yourself within the school through style, but with the rising trend of bows the girls at my school have been wearing them as a hair accessory and i’m seeing it more frequently, and gladly the school allows it. i’m just happy to see that girls are having more fun with their hair and it honestly just looks cute. i don’t mind if it looks tacky or “diy-ish” at all. it’s just a fun way to elevate a hairstyle and it’s unarguably just so easy and cheap to do.

I resonate with the oversized clothing. There are some things I still like oversized but the blazers especially hit a chord with me, I’ve been reaching more for the blazers that are “my size” versus the ones that are 2-3 too sizes for me. It’s not that I don’t like that now but just not what’s feeling best

I feel like it will never really die out completely and it also should not, like on coats. But sweaters and blazers are going to be more fitted, we will go a bit more back to basics when it comes to that. But we are ok with it 🥰

I miss OG fashionistas, before all the social media. Only way you knew what was popping was by looking at the streets, magazines, fashionTV etc. Now almost everyone knows what's trending. Wasn't like that pre-instagram. A lot of influencers today had no effin' clue how to dress years ago and now they are giving people tips..

@someusername4129 7 ай бұрын
It wasn't homogenous because of exposure isolation so you could go around the world or even in adjacent communities and see people dressing in their own way. Today it's always accessible so we can all look the same based on "trends" rather than trends in local fashion culture.

I have been wearing sambas since I was 14 years old. They were my indoor shoes and my going out shoes. It was really cool to see so many ppl wearing sambas lately even if they didn’t play futbol. I think what bothers me so much is that ppl will judge some of the girlies that’s are girly girls and have a very girly style and still wear sambas bc they literally grew up wearing them. As a girly girl who grew up playing futbol/ still plays, I wear sambas (like I’ve always done) but with dresses, skirts, and my favorite soccer jerseys. But I always have strangers asking me if I even know what I’m wearing because to them I look too much of a girly girl. But soccer has been an interest of mine since 5th grade. Back then you didn’t have to defend your interests, you just liked what you liked. It’s hard for ppl when they can’t put you in a box. Anywho, what I’m trying to say is let’s not all judge a book by its cover. Some ppl participate in trends bc it has some meaning to them and some don’t but it is literally almost impossible to differentiate which is which. And I think it’ll be a lot healthier for all of us to let people be bc you never know who you are judging from afar.

I don’t know how to explain my fashion but i would explain it as adult women with classy silhouettes and sexy twists. Like open back, off shoulder, décolletage showing, etc. kind of the old money aesthetic, but more personalized style. I really like neutrals like grays, beige, white black but if I do add color, it’s more of the mauve pink, plum purple, cranberry red, gray blue. But more so color is in my nails and jewelry rather than my clothes but I still do wear on my clothes.

I have a technical advice. Please make sound of your videos louder by default. I mean like set up mic or whatever to deliver louder sound. Because when I set my phone to loudest I don't hear when walking around the room. If I get far from phone, like 1 meter far, I don't hear you well. And I like to watch but also to listen few times over again as I do things around house. Note for example how Loic Pringent ( just as example ) has high sound volume videos by default because you can always make it more silent by phone settings but not louder if you reach the max level. I say this as totally selfish advice but I think you can benefit from it 😊.

Please can you spell the German phrase for 'rich in fabrics' - reich bitout?? I found the concept really interesting (is it any surprise the height of skinny fashion correlated to the global economic crash?) but don't really have a neat word for it in English. On a separate note, rugby shirts in British society are not really part of the same conversation as football shirts because the commonality that links the two is not so much 'sports garment' but rather 'class marker'. While 'blokecore' is a celebration (or appropriation?) of working class cultural signifiers, rugby shirts fit firmly in with the 'preppy', perhaps even 'quiet luxury' staples. I really enjoyed your video so I'm not trying to criticise here, just add to the conversation.

Many people say the 2010 are slowly getting back even more with the indie sleeve. And I’m really don’t want it, at all. I’m happy with the early 2000 comeback and I want to see the every state of the 2000 until gossip girl ish fashion. Then we can have indie sleeve / hipster style. But I really want to slow down the fashion circle, internet make trend go so fast, while I want to make it a slow burn, even more if we get new take on piece

Relevant points you made on quiet luxury and what it represents or who represents…always didn’t get the hype. I like oversized to a point. Not when it looks like you’re wearing your dad’s clothes. One of my most hated trends is the pants pooling down to the ground where they actually are stepping on them…disgusting. The Adidas trend like a lot of these trends…just get a celebrity or popular influencer wear it and you got a trend. Reminds me of in school if you want to be popular just get one popular person to like you and you’re in. 👏two vids/week

You probably heard but you got honorable mention by Cassie Thorpe on her latest vid. She’s brutal on the trends but I appreciated the honest and interesting comments like I always appreciate yours Tuba.

The trend with the very oversized blazers has unfortunately become very overdone. Especially because once everyone started doing it, a lot of people missed the mark with this trend imo. I think there's a "right" way to do it and a lot of people did it "wrong" with both the fit of the blazer (imo not every oversized blazer is the right kind of oversized) and the styling which I think added to it feeling overdone. I actually love all kinds of formal or professional wear. Oversized, form fitting. I like it all. It's been part of my personal style since I was a teenager, way before certain items like loafers or suit pants became a huge trend.

Its funny to me how I have yet to see some of the trends mentioned in this video in real life. I guess internet fashion is something else. Got way to fast and competitive when it comes to trends.

honestly i think theres such a big gap between irl fashion and what we see online. i live in a university city so a lot of young people live here and i barely ever see these trends in the wild. granted where i live gets pretty cold so most people are just wearing leggings and big coats to stay warm, but even in summer i just don't see these social media trends in wild as much as you would think
