Thanks for the knowledge. Do you have some sort of tilt attachment that you use with the bucket and compactor? Otherwise how do you get the driveway crowned?

you all do good work, worth noting not all nonwoven is cheap, i have used non woven in east TN and it is incredible strong and it is not cheap, the difference explain to me is the amount of water that can go thru, the nonwoven drains better, the woven is stronger where water is not the concern

Honest question… wouldn’t it make more sense to use crushed stone first and then top dress with an inch of 57s? Won’t the fines in the crushed stone eventually work its way into the openings of the 57s and settle?

By compacting, we avoid much of the settling.

The 57s work with the fabric to create a bridge across the subgrade, distributing the load across a broader area.
