I think Vanessa in the new series can be used to explore the theory about the people who were un-blipped and died instantly (like people in planes who came back to life in mid-air; or people mid-surgery who returned opened with no surgeons on sight); or maybe she never blipped but died on the blip (she could have been in a plane whose pilot was blipped causing it to crash). Why? Because Vanessa dying during (or because of) the blip makes more sense than being blipped. 1) Kingpin is much more violent, like he has nothing to lose. 2) She hasn't appeared in Hawkeye nor Echo. 3) If she was around, Matt would have his leverage back, destroying/crippling Kingpin's criminal empire.

I really do hope Disney faithfully continues the stories of all the Netflix characters. As much as I wasn't a fan of Iron Fist, there were some good plots and supporting characters there. When Shang Chi came out, I felt it's a bit too similar with its world building to Iron Fist, honestly. Another mystical realm in the East and it has dragons. But I would really welcome it, if they established some official connection there. Make these two places connected in some way (why not even have them be parts of the same realm?!). But what I'd be most interested to see at this point is how Luke Cage continues. The ending was so interesting - like where do you go from there? How do you control the criminals, or what activities do you allow them to perform to stay in control? There's a lot to explore here, so I hope that if they continue with his story they don't just Blip him and undercut all that potential.

I'll start by saying I think we'll see all the main characters (Matt, Jessica, Luke, Danny, and Frank) all show up at some point. For Daredevil I agree that Vanessa was probably Blipped and that it's likely that Foggy and Karen were as well. I do think we'll see Elektra again, she's a pretty popular character in general, and with Jennifer Garner's Elektra showing up in Deadpool 3 I think they'd want to bring her back, though I think she'll probably be recast cause I believe the actress has her own show that she's busy with. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Bullseye come back also. For Jessica Jones I do think we'll see Malcolm again and I agree that Hogarth is probably dead by this point. I think we'll see Trish back as well cause I believe she's good friends with She-Hulk as well, though its rumored the original actress for Trish might be busy with some acting stuff so she'll probably be recast. It wouldn't surprise me if Trish got a similar sort of deal that Blonsky got where she's free but can't operate as Hellcat or whatever. For Luke Cage I'm not sure if we'll see Diamondback, or Bushmaster for that matter, but there are rumors that some Serpent Society members may be appearing in Captain America 4, so we could perhaps see them or hear about them there. My hope for Luke is that he remains good and follows more of the comic trajectory his character has, marrying Jessica Jones and having a daughter with her, and starting Heroes for Hire with Danny. I think it would be cool to see Claire again, but if they do bring her back as you said Rosario is busy with Ahsoka and probably some other stuff too, so they'd probably recast her. For Iron Fist if Danny is still traveling the world then we'll probably see or at the very least hear about Ward the next time we see him, my guess is we'll probably see them in Shang-Chi 2. I think too that's probably the next time we'll see Davos and Gao again if we do see them, especially if they pull things from the Tournament of the Heavenly Cities storyline from Iron Fist comics for Shang-Chi 2 like I speculate they may do. Not sure if we'll see Mary show up again, nor am I sure if we'll see Joy show up again. For Punisher we probably will see Curtis and Madani again, as we do have a potential connection to Madani in the MCU already, as the lady that looked after Karli and the Flag-Smashers in Falcon and Winter Soldier was named Donya Madani, so perhaps she's a relative of Dinah Madani from Punisher. I also agree we probably won't see Jigsaw or John Pilgrim again. We might see Micro again, though if the rumors about his actor playing Thing in Fantastic Four are true then if they do bring him back they'll probably have to recast. I also agree that we need to see Misty and Colleen again, especially if they've teamed up for Daughters of the Dragon. I've been a big supporter of them getting a Daughters of the Dragon spin-off for a long time. We also definitely need to see Turk again.

This was very interesting. I think there may be some other unanswered questions left from those shows but I guess these are the main topics we should focus on. I'd like to make an observation on the Vanessa situation. I agree that she either was blipped or she died before the snap, allowing the Kingpin to climb back up the ladder during those five years while also still having Daredevil be aware of him; however, I think that Vanessa is still dead even after the blip or that she died right after the blip because of two reasons: the first reason is that the Kingpin is still operating without problems even after the blip, the second reason is a phrase he said in Echo when talking to Maya's grandma, he said something along the lines of "I lost a very close person too" in response to Chula's talking about her daughter's death, and I think Kingpin is talking about Vanessa there and not about Maya's betrayal or about his father/mother or about James Wesley. I hope this gest clarified in Born Again though. That said, I agree with what you said during the video, I'd like to see them all in some way, shape or form. Daredevil and Punisher are of course confirmed for Born Again and I hope their most important side characters are too, but I think that series, especially with all those episodes, could help bridge the gap with the other Defenders too. Jessica Jones would fit quite nicely in there and they could tie the crime boss Luke Cage story with the Punisher going after him (The Punisher against a bulletproof man would be epic) or by having Luke running for mayor against Fisk. I wouldn't mind seeing Patsy in the Thunderbolts too and the Iron Fist cliffhanger be resolved in the ShangChi sequel.

I could see Luke Cage and Jessica Jones as Heroes For Hire. Maybe with a baby. I could see Colleen Wing turn up in Shang-Chi 2 as a contact of Xialing. If we see Danny Rand again, it'll probably be either as a side character or in a fight sequence wherein he sets up some plot and dies. Punisher obviously will turn up in DD:BA. It would make sense if Turk and Mahoney turned up there too, as well as obviously Foggy and Karen. Claire could hypothetically turn up in anything, at least anything taking place in the area. If She-Hulk gets another season or something (and I'm one of the few people who would love that...although an animated series would suit her better), that's where I could see Trish/Patsy/Hellcat. Just based on the comics and where she was last seen, that's the logical next step for her. Get her hanging out with Porcupine and those guys.

@@AbitofEverything4U I'll also throw in Coulson turning up in a She-Hulk / Howard the Duck crossover with the flying car because it's too perfect not to. And Quake and Lockjaw in Ms. Marvel. Tossing in the quick and easy streamlining of categorizing inhumans as a subset of mutants (with a modified X-gene) and merging the Attilan and Lai Shi tribes since one lost their home and the other lost their leader. Makes it all easier to introduce for new viewers with minimal redundant explanation. Oh, and Mary/Walker in Moon Knight. In a DID support group. Along with Joe Fixit who knows way more about his brain than Smart Hulk does. Ghost Rider and Nico Minoru in a Halloween special with other spooky types.

It is interesting in retrospect how the blip retroactively allowed Marvel to essentially pick and choose which storylines from the pre-Disney plus shows that they want to use or ignore, as if Marvel originally planned on using the Blip as an opportunity to confirm the sacred timeline canon nature of the pre-Disney plus shows, since Jeph Loeb intentionally tried to end as many of those shows as possible before Infinity War. Since Hellcat was a repentant villain at the end of Jessica Jones season three, maybe she make a cameo in the Thunderbolts, as I would love a scene of Val explaining her reasoning for declining potential candidates for the team like Trish in the movie, this we could get cameos of other surviving villains and anti-heroes in the Thunderbolts such as Zeno, Titania, or Justin Hammer. Who would you guys like to see in a lineup of rejected thunderbolt candidates?

What if Blade is a revived cottonmouth? It would certainly be a stretch, but given how popular cottonmouth was, and that Ali is playing both characters, it would be cool. A) it would explain how he knows the street level characters, b) it would give him a cool arc about atonement, almost akin to Spawn, 3) they could parallel Cottonmouth’s redemption ark with Kingpin’s potential for one. Edit: also, this would be cheesy, but kinda fun; imagine if Blade kills Shades, for double crossing him, and keeps the sunglasses as a token, and that would be the in universe backstory for how Blade got his iconic shades.

I definitely can’t wait to see more of Bullseye, and I definitely think there should be a Tales of the Blip series that shows how the criminal underworld began to flourish during that time and get to see some of these interactions with the street-level characters that you mentioned. I’m not sure if Fisk will already be mayor in Born Again or if it’ll start during the race, but I think maybe Luke can be running against Fisk as mayor. That would be an interesting way to bring him back, and it would be a crazy race, considering at one point, both candidates could have been considered a crime boss. Either way, I’m excited to see what the MCU does with these characters when they bring them back!

Ayelet Zurer has now retook her role as Vanessa and will return on Born Again, now they don't know what to do with the actress Sandrine Holt who was gonna replace Zurer as Vanessa on Born Again. Should they give her a different character role on Born Again or just pay her off and cut her from the series? If they choose to keep her and give her a different role, which character she should play? There's a lot of choices I would choose: she could play Rosalind Sharpe, the attorney from Boston but her origin in the series should be different from her comic counterpart because her comic counterpart is the biological mother of Foggy and they just made Anna Nelson the biological mother of Foggy in the original Daredevil series from Netflix, Madame Gao's daughter if The Hand somehow returns on Born Again, Yuriko Oyama since Kenji Oyama debuted in the final scene of Daredevil season 3 operating Bullseye, a female Punisher or another one of those "Other Black Widows" if Matt and Natasha met, teamed-up and romantically involved with each other during the Blip years and Natasha could be mention and reference on Born Again.

I would love for Rachael Taylor to come back as Trish and don a comic accurate Hellcat suit. And since she already has similar powers, though from a very different source, I'd like to see her even more souped up with a supernatural buff. And of course, I'd be interested in seeing Trish get past her metaphorical demons with the help of the half demon Daimon Helstrom, played by Tom Austen. They could also help form a more classic style supernatural Defenders team with Strange, Hulk, Namor, and potentially Silver Surfer depending on how and when that character is introduced.

Would love to see a story similar to Secret Empire set during the blip. New York is left completely cut off and isolated from the rest of the world, crime runs rampant, and kingpin steps up to help the people of New York. Even if it's just explained in exposition, I love the idea of Kingpin running "Blip Relief efforts" to gain the trust and support if New Yorkers, only to leverage that trust in his plan to run for mayor.

Think about this: king pin is the mayor of new york city. In this same city is: Ms marvel, the teenage superhero whos own seires an introduction to the mcu itself is centered around her part of new york city. The seires itself is presented in a way that its showing how important her part of the citys is, an how its tied to her heritage. King pin keeps track of everything that gos on in the city, an ms marvel being in the city, doing her heritage stuff, hes gonna find out who she is... Then hes gonna use that against her for his own dirty deeds. Who else: the new young Hawkeye, also resides in new york.. And in the end of the marvels movie itself, we see ms marvel recruiting the young hawkeye for a new team.. And in spiderman man 4, spiderman will be fighting kin pin ( amongst others) How much you wanna bet, daredevil, luke cage, Jessica jones, an iron fist will also be a part of these fights alongside spiderman?? Kinda clear which direction were going now. Pretty cool. Only thing im wondering now is, will the morlocks come into this at all?? I know they wanna bring the xmen in soon, in a unique way.. Starting with the morlocks through daredevil an king pin an spiderman an ms marvel ( whos half mutant herself ) would be very different an cool. Also it would be kind of odd to have all these new york shows going on with ms marvel as well, an no mention of them anywhere along the way. Outside of that, seeing hellcat bring us into the inhumans side of things would be cool too. Fyi hellcat in the comics had a baby with a inhuman superhero. An they fought crime together too.. Very cool different ways to bring it all together an go forward at the same time.

Even though I haven't watched most of the Netflix/Defenders shows, I'm okay with being spoiled at this point, and just learning what happened on those shows to get caught up, and videos like this are helpful in that regard. (Hopefully I won't regret this if I ever do decide to go back and watch them later.) I'm really interested to see more about stuff that happened during the blip. If it's anything like how they did the Echo flashbacks, Marvel will avoid directly mentioning the blip on their street-level shows, but anyone who knows, knows.

Here's my theories/ideas of what happened during the snap Daredevil: survived the snap, but Foggy got snapped away (Karen survived). Due to the snap, countless lawsuits came in as an indirect result (lots of car accidents likely took place). After the snap, even more legal work came in due to people that got remarried due to losing a spouse, kids that got adopted out due to parents getting snapped, unpaid tickets that are 5 years late, it's a miracle he had time to help Spider-man! Jessica Jones: survived the snap, but Malcom and Trish did not. Jessica suddenly got bombarded with people coming in about a missing person, most of which she dismissed as being another victim of Thanos. Her drinking problem doesn't get better. Possible case comes up for a missing person she thought got snapped, only to find they survived. If we wanna see Hogarth again, hopefully she got snapped so they have more time to find a cure. Luke Cage: snapped away. He loses the status of crime boss as a result. Iron Fist: gets snapped away, and no one cared Punisher: survived the snap. If you think him and Hawkeye didn't meet during those 5 years, you're out of your mind! I'm certain that they not only met, but Hawkeye got the idea to kill mobsters due to losing his family to something beyond his control from Frank, that's no coincidence. Everyone else: flip a coin.

In my write up, Born Again takes place during the blip and for the majority of the show it is unknown if Vanessa was Blipped or not. We find out later that Vannessa actually tragically died during the blip. The temp story was her private jet crashing into the Atlantic when her pilot was blipped.

Claire Temple AKA The Night Nurse in the comics is yet another character that should return not only in the shows but in the street level movies as well if in New York specially in the upcoming Spider-Man movie since its literally the culmination of the Devil's Reign storyline with Fisk as mayor and his Hooligans running New York city and pursuing Vigilantes and anyone who has superpowers that isn't aligned with Fisk since she would probably run a clandestine clinic for all those Fisk is persecuting because is just what she does. She genuinely loves to help people.

I would rather learn Karen and Fogey were blipped as opposed to killed off like the original Born Again plan. Either way I hope many of these characters and their supporting cast return at some point. Despite playing Ahsoka, she has been shown to want to reprise the role of Claire so ... give it to us Marvel. Now my question is how will Bullseye be handled? A steel skeleton sounds boring but I doubt they'll wanna introduce Adamantium unless it's an X-Men related project. So what if Bullseye gets a Vibranium skeleton. Courtesy of Kingpin, because I could see him having a business relationship with Klaue. On top of that we know that even when the Kingpin is in prison, he's not really.

16:34 I know iron fist was the worst and that Colleen Wing is a better choice for the power, but honestly Danny did left with ward for self discovery in order to truly become the iron fist for the right reasons. And when they were writing season 3, it was said to feature Danny as a true iron fist who is fully centered and is able to get his shit together. I mean think back at his appearance in Luke Cage, it also showed fans Danny's potential as a true iron fist. Maybe Danny and Ward could cross paths with Shang Chi and Katy. I even heard that Finn Jones wants a second chance as the Iron Fist in the MCU.

You're really getting my hopes up with the possibility of these characters returning. Do you think Marvel is up to it? One small disagreement, I think with them making these shows canon we need a return of Finn Jones as Iron Fist. He can't be blamed for the squirrely plotlines and writing errors of season 1 and he showed so much potential in his team up eposode with Luke Cage, where he stole the show (which is saying a lot becuase I think Mike Colter was perfect as Luke Cage). That Heroes for Hire episode is in my opinion a top ten Marvel offering. My hope us that we get a full Heroes for Hire series. Anyone with me on that?

I think it would be really cool if they canonized both shows. My fear is that Runaways has been removed from D+ and from Hulu, so I think that show is unlikely to become canon. C&D has a better chance, but for some reason it isn't on D+ in all regions (we don't have it here in the U.S., for instance). So I wonder if there is a licensing issue, perhaps? Anyway, you are correct that C&D references Luke Cage and Misty Knight, which is a plus. Marvel may still decide to say C&D are on a branch off the sacred timeline (so they are referring to alternate versions of Luke and Misty), but it would be awesome if they made C&D canon.

Every series had such good ways to continue the story. I hope everyone returns and maybe even get a new Defenders series with a better story just so that all the storylines can cross back over and even maybe tie into the greater MCU. Or if not, have Punisher in the Daredevil series frequently (I loved the Punisher series, but we've finally reached where he's supposed to be as he is actively the Punisher, the show would then mostly just be him running around and killing guys episode to episode with no overarching badguy aside from someone like a Kingpin, he'll probably work best in team-ups at this point), have Luke Cage and Iron Fist condensed into one show as Power Man and Iron Fist (because that's what people really want anyway), and then have the supporting casts come and go as they please. I don't know if Jessica Jones needs her own series despite how much I enjoyed it, I interpreted Killgrave's voice as just being a piece of her conscience because she was running away from doing good, meaning more guys like him can pop up at any time and act without any repercussions, but perhaps you can have Jessica and Luke get together and stay together like they do in the comics, maybe Claire can return back to Daredevil or hop around from series to series again. Ultimately, what should happen is have everyone return (within reason, main casts and Turk), maybe condense a bit, and have them crossover a bit more with the rest of the MCU just so that we really affirm that these shows not only happened, but that their stories do matter and not just splinter into a bunch of other things that don't get resolved. Just some ideas: I like your ideas of flashbacks with Ronin meeting Punisher and Daredevil at some point. If there's a sequel to Moon Knight where he's actually Moon Knight and we get to see it, have him come on over to New York and see how all the Defender characters react to him episode to episode. Jessica Jones writes him off as a nut, Luke Cage and he fight in a stalemate since none of MK's gadgets work and then they help get whatever threat MK's chasing out of Harlem, Iron Fist sees him as a threat to the city, Daredevil's also not fond of him either, Punisher gets mistaken as a guy who MK defends the travelers of the night against only to realize they're on the same side. We know that Punisher and Spider-Man have a few stories, what if Punisher is in the next Spider-Man movie, and they have to team up to defeat the villain, but Spidey has to also keep saving them from Punisher? I think we really need a more grounded Spider-Man story since he's supposed to be street level, and aside from Homecoming, he's mostly been globe hopping and fighting space aliens and dealing with multiversal fallout, let's have him face down Hammerhead and a mob gang or something. A dragon escapes out of the Sanctum Sanctorum and it heads to Harlem, so now you have Doctor Strange and Wong meeting up with Luke Cage and Iron Fist. We finally get to see Iron Fist fight a dragon, he's also knowledgable in some mystical arts so he can bond with the sorcerers, and Luke Cage is there too because he's unbreakable and he can read the riot act to all of them for breaking his part of town. Turk has gone missing! He messed with the wrong crowd, and while he's a bit of a sleezeball, he's a great informant, even the FBI knows this, and they send Jimmy Woo to New York to investigate, and it just so happens that Jessica Jones is doing the same thing and she reluctantly agrees to team-up. Can you imagine the banter between those two? Pretty sure Bucky's still in New York, and if that's the case, he can run across the Defenders, maybe even join in with folks like Punisher, Jessica Jones, Echo, and Moon Knight who don't really have a problem with killing so long as the city is saved, but they all but heads against Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil, and Spider-Man who have a real problem with killing. Mini street-level civil war as a plot for a Defenders story. This is all hinging on if Marvel wants to let their main MCU characters crossover with the Defenders past just a few seconds of interaction, not to mention Sony who wouldn't allow even one shot of Spider-Man in Falcon and Winter Soldier.

I know that they always dont follow the comics but some plots or character ms the can bring and how they connect are Introduce the teen character the son of shades who goes by power-mab Introduce the gang/mod war punisher deals with Daughter of the dragon Dimondback getting powers as teased by luke cage season 1 Electra going through her redemption arc and hunting down any remaining hand links or creating a new chapter of it to maybe go against the ten rings? And hell cat joining some sort of street level task force to deal with some of the city threats that have been building up

I think those are some excellent storylines from the comics for Feige to consider incorporating in the plot when DD: Born again drops next year and when we continue to see the other characters returning!

Really bugs me that season 3 of daredevil is canon his case would of been national news and there's no way people in new York wouldn't know he's kingpin, and the fact that no government agency is keeping an eye on fisk makes no sense imo

Is Daredevil confirmed not to be Blipped? Cause the flashback in Echo doesn’t say when the fight between him and Echo took place. From the footage it showed it could’ve took place just shortly before the events of Hawkeye which is placed the year after Endgame

Good question! So, I did a breakdown of the Echo show, which you can find here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3vafKGCZbd0mKs. In particular, I try my best to place all of the flashbacks in timeline order and it sure seems like the Daredevil fight with Maya is after William Lopez is killed, which would place it in 2021 timeframe. Now learning that all of the same supporting cast and production crew is coming back for born again is so amazing, bullseye is coming back with the same actor and I am so happy, I hope Electra comes back with the same actress, with bullseye's coming back I have hope, honest the only actor who should be recasted should be the iron fist actor, I didn't think he was bad but I think there could be a better actor out there somewhere, and hopefully one who's a much more talented stunt fighter

I guess you heard about the Owl well you know that old man that Kingpin killed by throwing him into elevator in season 1 well he mentioned that he was going to have a son named Lee who would have been the more traditional Owl like in the comics and one of the producers mentioned this

Great feedback. I didn't realize that videos over stills would help with the algorithm. Every time I've used videos I have had to fight with copyright issues, so I gave up, but perhaps I should try it again. And I'll experiment with white instead of yellow.
