Thank you for mentioning that it was a privledge to be there and that you both worked to not overuse the resources around you. While watching, that's something I thought about a lot and appreciate you recognizing it! As a novice outdoor enthusiast, I look up to both of you in terms of your physical/mental strength, the spiritual aspect you brought to the experience, and the care you had for all living things around you. Much respect and love to you both!

Both girls did so well, double the time of mark and Joe. I can't imagine 2 girls about the same age as 2 guys doubling their time out in the harsh and unforgiving wilderness. Not to mention having to deal with their monthly cycles 3 times. Are sanitary pads allowed or considered part of the 10 items? Kielyn lost mentally but 80 days is super amazing. I don't think I can last more than 20 days or perhaps I don't think I would ever summon up enough courage to take part. Callie lost due to her badly frostbitten toes but she was mentally so strong even on day 89. Callie would have won on earlier seasons where the longest was 87 days. Callie, I hope you can take part again and win the money. You deserve it. I cannot even imagine the tough days you girls went through. Well done, Callie and Kielyn. Well done is an understatement. I cried when the medical team told Callie she had to leave. 89 days. I swallowed my tears hard.

In my opinion strength isn't about denying certain aspects of ourselves. Strength is about having the inner resources and resilience to be whole in the face of adversity. It's not about not feeling it's about being able to hold those emotions so that we can carry on. To me Keilyn your display of emotion was both authentic and inspiring. Such a healthy way of being in this world x

I was rooting so hard for you both to make it and to see 3 checks handed out! Everyone was so deserving! I love how much you both respect nature and living in balance. I’m glad I decided to watch this because I did have the completely wrong idea with Kielyn pulling the snares. I’m so happy to see a show on the air like this. Big challenges for mankind ahead with the grand solar minimum. I’m currently living on 62 acres and growing about 10% of my food. These lost skill are critical. I think about what it would be like to take it to 100% on a short term basis all the time. Lots and lots of respect!

Season 7 is my absolute favorite season yet and I must say that you two young ladies IMHO are bad asses ! I really thought one of you had this in the bag, but you guys made it so much fun for me to watch this season. I just hope that alone the show can keep up the good work in picking the contestants for the show because they were spot on for this season 7. I love the fact that the show was 1 1/2 hours long this year with the questions and answer and from listening to you guys there was so much more footage that could have been shown and times that by ten contestants they could have a two hour show every week and I would absolutely watch all two hours of it. I also love how you keep us posted on your lives as you move forward in your lives, it really is cool how you two mesh together, and your right you two are winners in my book to. Thanks for the updates and please keep them going !! Love you guys and God bless both of you !!

I agree with Callie being unflappable. Always calm and with a calm attitude and voice. She quickly became a favourite of the season 7. What I remember most is her always being cheerful and optimistic. I never saw her get too down to the point of tears. I was rooting for Callie to get a big animal to keep her fed and stay in the running for the win but despite not having the luck to get a big animal, she did quite well.

I’m an empath as well and I felt what you went through. You have inspired me in so many ways. I’m on my own journey of sorts and God brought you to me for a reason because I don’t have cable nor am I a TV watcher. My mom loves the History channel and was watching Alone last week so I downloaded the app on my phone. Best thing I ever did. ❤ Congratulations on your accomplishments from being who you are now as well as a former Olympic hopeful to the guns on your arms! Lol😂I was so impressed by you. I rooted for girl power. I so wanted you to win. You did win…❤

Being able to express your feelings and mental issues while challenged to survive by your own personal confidence and knowledge and struggling to stand over your vulnerabilities for a period of time such as these, is a lesson that you're teaching us with grace. Be proud of yourself, "amazing strong woman" 💪 💖, and receive all my respect "beautiful soul" and Lady...🧙♂️congratulations 👏 for this season 7 participation and the way you've been emotionally involve so much into. 🙏💖.

You were both so inspiring. Thank you Kie for sharing your life and emotions with us like that. I haven't seen all the seasons, but in some, some of the participants seem to be kind of posing or selling a certain story. At least that is how it felt. What makes the show feel unique is that there aren't producers creating false drama between the participants or trying to create something out of nothing like on every other reality tv show. Well, at least not too much ;). You were real, that's why people respond. I hope you are able to continue to be in front of the camera in some fashion in a similar manner - just without starvation. :) Take care.

These women are so damn 💪 strong, and so intelligent - in every way!; on every level!! What great role models and powers! I am obviously discovering them later on than many, but look forward to following them, going forward. - Also, must say, is really precious to listen to them share about their POV & perspective & responses “in the moment” - to their decisions & actions; and that they were ‘conscious and contemplative’ on higher levels than I have ever heard someone express their conscious awareness of “values” for self and the life that sustain them regarding hunting, harvesting, ‘’living off the land’’ whilst in survival mode, none the less. 🙏 What a life altering experience .. Callie is right in that ‘money cant buy what these women won’. But also understand how bad Kie wanted to win ... however, NOT an ‘any cost’, and that’s the beauty, strength & intelligence of these women.

I know that, after I was severely frostbitten over 45 years ago, my feet, toes, fingers and cheeks get to the point of aching painfully when exposed to the cold. I have been to many Doctors who told me that this is a very common anomaly with people who have suffered from severe frostbite. I sincerely hope that in Callie's case it isn't but, to this day when freezing temperatures hit my cheeks they crack and bleed.

Wow. I am so happy to have found this video and your channel. I have watched a number of seasons of Alone and none even come close to season 7, which is currently on Netflix. I've watched it a bunch of times but listening to you two ladies, I realize what a skewed impression we were given of each of the contestants. I'm sorry for thinking you were a crybaby, Kei! I was like, "Why is she screaming when she's pulling in a fish?" Now I know! Cause you hadn't even caught one in several days, probably. I wish they would have shown more of your high points so we could have seen much more than you gassing yourself in the shelter. They showed more of that than they really needed to. Now I feel like we were robbed of some really great footage of every one of you. And to imagine all your footage was ultimately cut down to ONE HOUR??? Madness. I love goats so I was really distracted by Callie's friend but it was cool that he wanted to be a part of the show. I hope you did do another video like this one, or if not, hope you will have one soon. Subscribing!

Just finished watching the show.... I have a question: What do you ladies think about Roland? First of all, you ladies are such an inspiration, not only to women but also men! But I so appreciate how you both were so conscientious about not taking advantage of the animal and flora resources in your areas, only taking what you needed while trying to minimize your impacts. You always demonstrated respect for all the animals and the overall environment in your areas. Not the case for Roland. Regardless of how it was edited, Roland made it clear that he wasn't interested in any kind of spiritual connection out there. He took what he wanted with little regard for his impact on the surrounding environment, and even seemed to take more than what he needed, especially after having killed the ox (his excuse that it was too lean). Anyway, I know you are too kind to want to say anything negative about any of the other contestants, but I am curious what you each truly think about him and/or his methods of survival. In the end, his goal was to win a million dollars, no matter what it took. But does the means justify the ends? Congratulations on embarking on this spiritual quest, not only on the show, but in life. Thank you . . . !!
@lureofthenorth2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment and your acknowledgement that Callie and I had a deep respect for all of the resources and animals we took. You're right, it's not my place to comment on Roland's journey. I will say, that winning the million dollars was not my main reason for being out there (although it helped push me a few times!). I gained a much better understanding of who I am and who I want to be so for that I believe I won! All the best to you,

Stuff them with debris. Why would you not take the tarp and the sleeping bag out with you when ice-fishing? Why would you not take debris on the ice to sit on and put your feet upon, so as to reduce your heat loss to the ice?
