It's great to read your appreciation for the work of veterinarian/writer Alf Wight AKA James Herriot from a younger audience. In the 70s/80s he was one of the best selling authors in world and the TV series All Creatures Great And Small was broadcast globally. I hope channels like this and the revamped 2020 TV series will attract a new audience for his books as well as a new generation of aspiring vets!

I was fortunate enough to run across a copy of All Creatures Great and Small in a pawn shop at a young age, and as a fellow animal lover with an interest in surgery, it resonated with me deeply. My interest in animals and my soft heart for their suffering came from having a hunter/fisher as a parent. I have officially read his first 2 series, and was *ecstatic* to find this one in an audiobook form, believe me!
