@@tezeradesta1081 Without the positive air pressure flow, you won’t receive any benefit. The pressure of air keeps the airway open. A mild sleep apnea still needs to be resolved. Losing weight if needed, can resolve the issue. But definitely address this problem. Long term oxygen deprivation of the brain is a serious situation. Not to mention the possible issues of memory loss and brain fog and mild headaches due to sleep deprivation. Take care my friend 😊

I stopped that once I got a BiPap instead of CPAP and use the full mask that has the nasal pillow beneath the nostrils and mouth mask. Pressure adjusts automatically and I am out cold for hours and only leaks would awaken me (or outside disturbances). Good luck. ✝️

@@LP-sy9xf Do bipaps work for mouth breathers? I usually breath through my mouth at night, heh heh.
@LP-sy9xf
@LP-sy9xf 2 ай бұрын
@@SJ-xg1uf I am a mouth breather that's why I can't use just a nasal pillow I need this particular style that rests under my nose and also seals over the mouth. Also the main intake for the air is on my head not over my mouth. That is a newer style. The hospital tech is the person who identified that I would never have been able to sustain on a regular CPAP and the equipment rep checked how I functioned with EVERY mask and realized I need a partial face mask bc the mouth breathing breaks the pressure seal on a nasal-only. Which means it would not have helped stop the episodes of apnea. Importantly, I usually gag and panic on first starting the air with regular CPAP but with this automatic pressure thing on the BiPap I can hook the mask onto my head, turn on the air, then breathe normally before pressure responds. So I never have that old claustrophobic feeling or drowning sensation. My settings for inhale and exhale are different, like 10-6. I am not sure exactly what that means but it's what they determined is needed. I think the pressure when I breathe IN is a 10 and when I exhale it's lowered to level 6. All I know is with 3-4 CPaps since 1998 I failed to comply and quit inside a week or 2. But on the BiPap with this mask setup I am compliant since July 2023. Sometimes I can't believe how well it works. 🙏 I went from 53 apneas to usually below 5 per hour. ✝️ Hard to sleep without it and I dream at night again after decades of nothing.
