To be fair, you shouldn't expect 120+ fps 1080p for under 300$ Probably no stutters at all if they lock fps to 75 fps

Pretty sure its a win 11 issue as lower spec hardware on win 10 sports better performance. Win 11 still isn't fully optimized and isn't really meant for older hardware. Stick to win 10 if you are a dedicated gamer.

well windows 11 isn't officially supported on that system so that could be a cause of the issue. also if they locked the fps to say 60 or 75 i reckon the stuttering would be less frequent

Imo the problem here is that CPU. For a 6th gen intel CPU the only thing you should consider buying is an i7 6700 or 6700k.

I just finished a build last night. After taxes and shipping for everything it cost $305. But I did have two parts that wasn't used. My case which was a Zalman S3 that I got off eBay for $43 after taxes. Also a 512GB 2.5 SATA SSD $28 after taxes. Everything else was used. Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB 3200 RAM, EVGA GTX 1660 TI, MSI A320M - A PRO, and Thermaltake Smart 500W PSU. it works great. So you can buy used parts and have a good gaming PC for a decent budget.

On a real note, you gotta remember toasty usually offers a warranty with their online and in person sales, and unlike a lot of other companies Id say thats worth its salt. Do I like the value on offer? Not really, Id prefer it had a 8gb polaris or a 5500xt 8gb at that price. But a kid could more than get into gaming with this. As well, if we wanna talk used xeons, you could also just spend 60 bucks and get a QTj1 and mod the bios on that gigabyte board and have an 8 core 16 thread system and it would do anything you asked of it.

I think this is one of those situations where spending an extra $100 could get you at least an 8th gen i5 and any number of higher performing gpus. That would take this from a PC that can ya run some stuff to a machine that is actually a usable 1080p gaming machine.

spending $20 less than they spent on just the cpu+mobo+ram wouldve got a used broadwell xeon 2650v4+ new machinist pr9-h off aliexpress, and some used 2400 speed server ram off ebay. ive personally bought a dozen such boards and used xeons with 0 duds. i can tell you that cpu wont stutter in apex legends :/. Not to mention ive gotten rx580s for the amount they got that 470 or whatvr.

A couple of years ago I paid $300 for a PC that has an MSI Z370-A PRO Motherboard, i7 8700k, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, GTX 1060 6GB, a 240mm AIO cooler, abd an open air case with 7 RGB fans. I added the PSU and storage. It's been my only PC since and has given me no issues.

Recently I got an HP prodesk 600 g6 - core i3-10100f on ebay for 143 dollars after tax and shipping. Spent 70 on a 400 w 80 plus platinum power supply replacement (they are proprietary), threw a another 16gb stick in for 32 gb of dual channel ram (another 20 bucks) and scored a gtx 1660 ti on ebay for 70 bucks usd (91 after tax and shipping, I live in washington so sales tax hits hard) so for about 300-320 bucks, I think it will perform well plus I can resell the 280 w power supply for 20 bucks for so

A couple of weeks ago I bought a complete, working used PC for $150. Ryzen 3600X, 16GB (2x8) 3000 DDR4, 250GB SATA SSD and 4TB HDD, EVGA 650 Bronze PSU, a hideous Cougar case and a GTX 1650 OC GDDR6 GPU. It was 100% ready to game as it came. Sure the GPU isn't that great, and most newer games would need the settings as low as they will go, but there isn't really much it absolutely won't run at all. That leaves enough budget for a solid video card. In the last few months I have picked up an RX6600xt for $100, a 2060 Super for $90, an RX 6800 (non XT) for $175 and a 3070 for $200. I ended up putting an RX 5700XT I had left over from another deal (a complete Cyberpower prebuilt that had been torn down to clean and the owner didn't know how to put it back together, Ryzen 3700x, B550 and the 5700XT, all for $200) that I was into for pretty much nothing.

Buying a used power supply is ok in some times. If you can get a 650w or less for 30 or less locally go for it, but ONLY if you have a power supply tester and test it before purchasing. Otherwise go new. Recently got a Thermaltake ToughPower 1275w platinum for 35 bucks, and it came with all the cables needed, and before that I had a 1200w 80+ gold in my personal system from cooler master I got for 50 bucks

you slap the right bios on that board you can bus oc the crap out of the 6600 to 4.6-5.0ghz range i oced an i5 6400t using bus oc on that same board to 4.5ghz which would greatly help this system you can mod the bios and add rebar and use nimez drivers to use rebar on the 470

$30 more and you can have a i7 of that gen and at least have 8 threads to go with your 4 cores. Edit- You could possibly even downgrade to a 1050ti or some old 4gb quadro and get a smoother experience. Sounds weird but it would help take some of the load off the CPU.

current games just don't run well on 4 cores and 4 threads now a days the CPU is bottle necking that GPU on most titles it would likely need to have to be on a 6th or 7th gen i7 to be able perform as needed or you can go for an X99 Xeon combo from Ali Express you can get one for less than 50$ for a MOBO, CPU and RAM it will not clock as high but you will at least have enough cores to run modern titles and would be a perfect partner for an RX570/470 or RX580/480.

Upgrade that 6gen to 7 gen i7, that'll open up some headroom and bump your speed a bit too. also, why get the 470 when you can get the 580 for much the same price, and way better performance w 2x ram? Also, why are you on 11 when you can run on 10? 10 is a lot less of a load for the pc

7:53 on any quad core cpu use 70 to 83% 3d resolution and 1360 by 768 or 1600 by 900 it gets rid of the stutters also did you install the newest beta driver for that its kinda broken i actually rolled back the driver on my backup pc but its just got a e3 1225 16gb ram and a 4gb 470 and runs everything way better than this.

Its a win11 - gpu driver problem... look at those drops to 0% utiliz ... cpu is on 90-97% so it has that marginal 3% headroom... 80% cpu in CS but gpu drops to 0%..But we all know - minimum 6 core cpu is total must nowadays.

I would rather get me a ryzen 5 1600/1600 AF/2600 for cheap with motherboard and ram. The rest of the parts I would have kept. Even if a i5 6600 is faster than the Ryzen 5 1600 the 6 cores and 12 thread makes any game playable and can be upgraded in the future. Fortnite and apex on that i5 6600 I would have capped the fps to 60 fps and cs 2 to 90 fps.

The thing about used Hardware is you have no idea how the people ran that stuff you don't know of if the CPU and graphics card have been overclocked heavily . My Approach has always been upgrade what you have until you can't upgrade it anymore and then build all new and start the cycle again. I'm still on Am4 and won't change platforms until AM6 and that's around 2028. I recently added a new graphics card going from a XT 6600 to Xt7800 XT I also upgraded to CPU going from an AMD 3700x to a 5900x this should be good enough to run most games until they move to am 6 in 2028

Most likely cpu bottleneck. I encounter the same thing with my rx580. If you look at the gpu memory frequency, it is probably not using the max rated frequency. If your gpu is working normally then it either doesn't need to use it or can't use it cuz of bottleneck

boys dont indulge people who build rigs with old intel trash and want real money for it. the market learned a long time ago in other countries that xeons are the only real future for that era of hardware, including skylake. $50 wouldve gotten a new mobo machinist pr9-h or similar cheap x99 mobo and a 2650 v4, which wouldn't stutter on flipping apex legends, maybe almost not even fortnight on performance mode with quad channel ram. Broadwell xeons are the only possibility for sub $200 whole cloth rigs which can still actually do anything.

Not sure if they are actally ddr4 3200mhz but if they are then it is probably not the bottleneck cuz I use ddr4 3200mhz cl22 (cl22 is like the slowest you can get) and it can handle my pc which have better cpu and gpu just fine. I think it's the cpu or windows 11 issue
