I remember playing my dads 360 elite every morning when I woke up at 4 pm as kid. Very nostalgic sounds. He recently gave the console to me because the drive laser was broken and no one in the family used it anymore. I fixed it and now it’s proudly sitting in my room like litterally a box of nostalgia. I sometimes randomly get the urge to turn it on and play some random old games or browse thru the menu with those same sounds. I love it and it’s the only electronic that still works from my childhood. Never gonna throw it away.

You can get one for cheap second hand. The marketplace is gone but you can mod the console and get any game you want and more, like homebrew and emulators and stuff. Multiplayer over xb live is still up for the time being.

I hope you still get one because it’s a really fun and nostalgic console that still plays fine in 2024. Make sure don’t get the oldest og ones these break. The latest phat elite edition is good. Mine lasted more than 15 years of crazy use, and now it just sits in my room and sometimes i get the urge to play some old game on it or nostalgically browse thru the menu.
