I love the detail of Sidious cringing and recoiling from the light. Like it hurt him. Of course he wanted to keep his identity secret but it's a nice touch. The light also symbolizes how Dooku could have chosen to come back with her.

The moment when Yaddle holding the gate we see the beam of light that represents the light inside Dooku. Palpatine trying to hide from it while Dooku cheering for Yaddle and wants her to give him one last push to join her. You can see it in his eyes. This glimpse of hope. Maybe if Yaddle had held on a little longer, everything would have changed completely. This is the best and most heartbreaking moment in the whole show for me.

One of the core strategies of Sidious to make anyone fall to the dark side was to push them to commit acts they themselves would not see as forgivable. And as Vader, slaughtering the younglings during Order 66. For Luke, it would have been killing his own father and failing as a Jedi. For Dooku, it was helping to orchestrate the Clone Wars. He could not forgive himself for the deaths and treachery, so nothing Yaddle said could have pulled him from the brink. Dooku wouldn't allow himself to be redeemed. The dark side is a drug. Yaddle's murder broke my heart. For so long I had hoped she'd survived Order 66, only to discover that she'd been murdered long before the Clone Wars even began. Why does the new canon have to be so cruel to the Jedi? Wiped out twice and then just brushed off in the sequel trilogy. She was so kind and compassionate and non-judgemental, acknowledging that the Jedi Order and the Republic were no longer the great institutions they once were and that Dooku was right about the corruption and decline.

If I was a Jedi, I would want Yaddle to be my master. Compared to her peers on the High Council, she had enough insight to see the decline of both the Jedi and Republic yet had enough discipline to not fall to the dark side like Dooku did. She is patient yet decisive enough to act when she needs to. She has such a HUGE heart and a powerful sense of empathy. She has a motherly demeanor to her students (past and present), which gives her a warm and nurturing presence like the life-giving light of the sun. Unlike most Jedi of her time, she was forgiving and believed in redemption. If I were to stray to the dark side, she would move mountains to bring me back to the light. I would feel completely safe if Yaddle was my Jedi Master. Her personality and teaching methods would perfectly balance my own personality.

Perfect middle ground between Obi Wan and Ahsoka. Both are great, selfless, kind Jedi but Obi Wan always towed the party line and was naive at times, and Ahsoka was too detached to give up on the greater good entirely because of the leadership. Both missed what was growing in Anakin and failed to deal with it, whereas Yaddle recognizes the seeds in Dooku, seeks him out and makes as bold a plead as possible to draw him back, rather than being so taken aback(Obi Wan) not seeing it coming at all or becoming so completely dismayed that it makes her question everything(Ahsoka) and believes in what the Jedi can represent. It is always the best that are lost.

Why did she expend all of her strength lifting up the barrier that separated her from certain death? They both thought she was crushed, she could have gotten away without much difficulty, but she makes a showy, dramatic use of her power and leaves herself completely helpless. For real, it's so DUMB. She didn't STOP herself from being crushed, the door had 3 separate layers, and she was standing on the furthest outside one. She used the force to lift up the middle one. It literally hit the ground, if she wasn't killed by that, then she wasn't going to be killed. She had the perfect opportunity to escape, or just hide. They thought she was dead. At the very least, don't expend all your strength lifting it back up, make DOOKU lift it up if they want to be absolutely sure you're dead.

I can't help but feel like Yaddle saying Qui Gon shouldn't of died had unintentionally pissed Dooku off. Notice how he started fighting more aggressively after that as opposed to kind of going easy on her at first. Because he had been warning the Jedi for decades about corruption and the darkness coming back. And they kept brushing it off as just an act of imagination. It literally took Qui Gon, who Dooku thought of as a son, being killed by Darth Maul for them to realize the Sith had indeed returned. But he knows the Council well enough to know that they'll cover it up in order to prevent the Republic from knowing the truth. And tell the public he simply died in combat fighting for Naboo. For Yaddle to say that they were wrong after the fact was probably the nail to hit the coffin for Dooku to completely forsake the Jedi and embrace darkness for good. Because if the Jedi had listened to him, Qui Gon would still be alive and none of this would happen. Their arrogance, in a sense, killed Qui Gon and having only one simply say 'sorry we were wrong' wouldn't erase the pain Dooku felt in his heart. The decades of them doubting him, seeing the corruption of the Republic and the Jedi ignoring it, and finally losing someone dear to him and the Jedi still not willing to do anything had pushed Dooku to the breaking point.

I really felt bad for her, but she is a gigantic fool to follow and confront Dooku with a powerful Sith Lord’s presence. That said, Dooku will be on his knees and will die the similar way he gave to Yaddle. Ironic, he thought he could be much more than Palpatine, but only to find out those long decade he was just a mere pawn. Perfect middle ground between Obi Wan and Ahsoka. Both are great, selfless, kind Jedi but Obi Wan always towed the party line and was naive at times, and Ahsoka was too detached to give up on the greater good entirely because of the deeply flawed leadership. Both missed what was growing in Anakin and failed to deal with it, whereas Yaddle recognizes the seeds in Dooku, seeks him out and makes as bold a plead as possible to draw him back, rather than being so taken aback(Obi Wan) not seeing it coming at all or becoming so completely dismayed that it makes her question everything(Ahsoka), and believes in what the Jedi can represent. It is always the best that are lost.
