I'm glad that I was able to witness f(x) in the early years. It's just so sad that she left SM, well it's for her own good but mind you f(x) hasn't disbanded, the members just left their agency. I salute Amber for her transparency and good nature despite of what she has been through as a kpop idol (losing a member, being back-slashed by the society, hiatus of their group for many years, her works getting rejected by her own agency, etc.) She came out stronger and kinder after all adversities. She actually loves assorted genres & gets influenced by a lot of things. And though her group f(x) is considered kpop, it always had a heavy EDM influence, & with Amber being SM's 1st tomboy allowed to dress (mostly) how she liked, they are still well known for helping 2nd generation kpop to break expectations & get more international fans.

Actually she's American, from L.A. but is a member of kpop group f(x). (That's why interviewers often ask how she got recruited as a non-Korean. Besides Amber being Taiwanese American, her group also has a Korean American, a Chinese, & a Korean. The former member that recently passed away was also Korean.) The group hasn't been able to be active or put out new stuff for a few years but Amber has been doing a lot of solo & collab music. Mostly it's her own stuff, in English, written or cowritten by her. I think all the recent collabs are Eglish too. I especially love: Perfect by James ft Amber, & Get Myself by Fyke ft Amber.
