Just sat down to my second brewing of Masudaen Bancha that just arrived from Nioteas today, with the red kyusu pot. The pot looks incredible, it smelled and looked clean inside the package, and I can absolutely tell the difference in flavor already, in comparison to my glass pot. This bancha tastes as described in this video, I can certainly taste the hints of genmaicha-like flavor beginning to come forward in this second brewing. I'm really pleased with everything so far. It's great to see a company putting so much care and effort into their products. It is clear that this is a labor of passion and love.

Did you a glazed tea pot when testing the being able to steep 3 times otherwise it could just be the tea pot.

we usually use a glazed teapot for Bancha. With the unglazed teapots its best to keep them for one particular type of tea because they can become "seasoned" and this is worth it for premium teas like gyokuro and sencha

Yes bancha is nice as well and much less expensive. I think you should try both! Also Hojicha and genmaicha are good teas to start with

The Bancha I have at home doesn't have any sweet taste.
