Quick note for whoever might need it: If you are an artist with a collection of high quality acrylic paints you would like to use, there are plenty of tutorials on how to do so by mixing it with Fabric Medium. However, its usally recommended that you don't try this with cheaper acrylics, so this is more useful for people who are already invested in canvis painting.

@@kausercassim9775 I don't use markers simply because I don't like lines made with markers and I prefer to make them with small brush. But if you don't have artistic skills probably it will be easier for you at the beginning to make lines with markers (but you won't be able to paint dark clothes only white or light color clothes , because there are no markers for dark clothes). Regarding pencil, do you draw free hand on clothes or use transfer paper? The lines should be actually barely visible, just enough for you to see them and outline them. And transfer paper makes pretty visible lines. If you draw freehand you can try using soft pencil, but again don't make very dark lines, or your artwork will look messy at the end.

Fabric paint is acrylic paint but different. Its doesnt make artwork too stiff, it is much more flexible. So in my opinion if you want to paint on all kind of clothes and be able to wash it in a washing machine you should use fabric paints. Or at least mix acrylics with fabric medium. By the way you can try to use fabric paints and see yourself the difference

@@Dariacreative Sorry, I have to disagree. I have been painting longer than you've been alive. Not to be rude, but if you use quality acrylics, you get beautiful work. My shirts have never cracked or peeled. I can wash them with no problems. After you paint on the shirt, you let dry for 24 hours, no need to iron. Fabric paint fades over time, you said so yourself, but acrylics don't. I know what I am saying. It's all in the quality. ⚘
@Dariacreative4 жыл бұрын
@@bagobeans I don't want to argue because it is also depends on the artwork itself. How many layers of paint do you use, what kind of fabric you paint on. For example not so long ago painting on jeans pockets was a big trend. And people were using acrylics ,using too much paint and applying too many layers.And as a result pockets were so stiff and sticky, they couldn't even sit to don't glue themselves to the chairs ) So there are many factors of course.
