***SUMMARY(1)*** 1. You can use any type of paint E.g. Using acrylic paint is possible if you mix it with a fabric medium BUT fabric paint allows flexibility and softness which prevents cracks in the material. 2. Less paint the better - blend your paint out and try not to layer 3. Water can be used (mixing fabric paint with water for water color effects). Water also adds for softness to paint and prevents hardness/cracks. 4. Beginner = paint on basic smooth surfaced clothes (e.g. cotton preferably black and white) to learn skills before moving on to other materials. 5. As said above - even if you are an experienced artist, start of with basic designs as it will be the first time you're doing this. Practice makes perfect :) Like and subscribe for more 🤍

Behind you 100% I've been painting with inexpensive acrylics for years with the use of TEXTILE MEDIUM. For beginners, you mix it 2 parts paint to 1 part medium. Makes the acrylic stick and flexible. 👍

By far the best and most useful video I have seen. I have a lot of acrylic paint and I figured it can't be that easy. I've tried it and yes, it has made my clothing very stiff. Didn't feel quite right. There's a reason why different paints are created and definitely not to profit from them. Just needed an excellent artist to explain that to me to understand the exact difference. Thank you so much for your useful tips. Most importantly, beautiful art work! I love watching your videos! xx

It's also interesting to say that fabric paint is just acrylic paint with fabric medium premixed. I only recently started painting on canvas with acrylic paint (before that I made patches with fabric paint) and fabric paint after it dries kinda gets the texture of rubber but acrylic paint gets hard like a soft kind of plastic. Also a tip for every german that reads my comment: Get Marabu fabric paint. If the color is black or white use the regular but if you want to paint on dark fabrics with colours like red get the textil +. Every other fabric paint I tried is shit and started cracking after the first washing process.
