I recently realized how great the people of Bangla Desh and its people have always been. May Allah preserve them and in rease them in iman. I realized this only after comparing the reactions of the Bengali students and their steadfastness on the truth and the Pakistani Punjabis and other ethnicities in Pakistan watching the army clampdown and rigging of the last elections there. This mad eme realize the true history of Pakistan and putting it in perspective. The people of Bangla Desh stood with Muhammad Ali Jinnah and then with his sister against Ayub Khan the first usurping dictator of Pakistan. They stood up and paid the price for it when Mujibur Rahamn was declared a traitor when he really was trying to keep the people of then united Pakistan free from dictatorship. The Pak army instead sided with their puppet, who was a useful idiot for the Pak army. They were always on the right side of history. May Allah unite all the muslims of this ummah everywhere on earth for without this ummatic unity as Brother Dilly put it, we will continue to be torn like the flesh of carcas on a dinner table. May Allah unite is on the Truth and grant us victory.

Bangladesh chose Bengali identity over Islam, otherwise what was the point of the split with Pakistan?
@hussainmohammad5444

They separated from Pakistan not because they chose their Bengali identity over Islam, but rather it was because Pakistan still to live up to its Islamic identity

Bangladesh chose Bengali Identity over Pakistani identity, "not over Islam ". Read The Right History!! At that time West Pakistan was a Undemocratic, Unjust and a Cruel State. And we Bengali people stood up against the act of unjust done by them to us. And Allah (swt) helped us to liberate our nation from West Pakistans oppression over us. Now it is Bangladesh. Alhamdulillah. ❤🇧🇩🇧🇩

Strike 2. Let’s hope my comments are not deleted again inshallah. Salams. The analysis by br. Dilly was simplistic at best and very biased against the Awami League (AL)party. This is typical of us Bangladeshis, we are heavily tribalistic. If one is a supporter of the BNP/Jamat nexus, they have an allergy to AL. Likewise, die hard AL supporters cannot tolerate BNP nor anyone who is anti-AL. I witnessed this about 10 yrs ago in the UK when a fight broke out between these supporters at a meeting chaired by Baroness Paula Uddin. These individuals should have been kicked out of the UK. I agree that the AL had become a one party state with curtailment of freedom of expression and crushing the BNP opposition. Sheikh Hasina became arrogant with absolute power. Any objective person would have given a balanced view, in this case, the positives of AL would have been highlighted as well. Under the Hasina administration Bangladesh became a middle income nation with about 50 million people in the middle class category. Extreme poverty was reduced, and the economy was doing very well. Bangladesh was on course to become a tiger nation. She also opened the border to accommodate around 700,000 Rohingya refugees. The irony of ironies is that Hasina’s son pioneered the digitisation of Bangladesh, and it was this platform that was used by protesters and criminal gangs behind the protesters to overthrow Hasina. Whilst the students started off peacefully with a genuine grievance about the unfair quota system, Hasina did change the law to reduce the quota for the 1971 war veterans and their families. This wasn’t enough, and Hasina is also to blame for the way she communicated during her televised broadcast. She should have apologised for using the term ‘razakar’ (collaborators with the Pakistan army), which was misconstrued to describe students; this was the trigger point for their anger, as well as a student being shot by the police. A side note here: when br. Dilly said that the collaborators were ‘perceived collaborators’ (in the blogging theology interview) this set off the alarm bells. They were actual collaborators. The opposition groups and criminal gangs used the students’ genuine protests to unleash violence. This was not mentioned. Whilst the police and de facto Hasina was to blame for the killing of students, there was no condemnation by Dilly of the gangs who infiltrated the protest movement. They killed police officers, including a pregnant policewoman and set the stations alight. They killed army officers, some of whose dead bodies were hung upside down like meat from bridges whilst people walked by not giving a hoot….such great ummatic values. Just in front of our place in Bangladesh, family members witnessed gangs beating up police officers, who in turn fired on them to defend themselves. Students don’t do this but criminal gangs do. After the departure of Hasina, the thugs burnt the homes of some of the AL ministers and killed some AL MPs, and burnt down their homes as well as offices. Hindus and their mandirs have been targeted and killed or burnt. At least Zakir Naik had the courage to condemn the attack on the Hindu minority. One of the thugs who broke into Hasina’s residence gleefully displayed a pair of Hasina’s bras. What astounding bravery. Prophet Muhammad (S) and his Companions (R) would have been proud, right? And police officers resigned en mass because their lives were under threat. Where are the useless Imams and maulanas to advise people to end the violence? They demonstrated their uselessness just as br. Dilly did during the Piers Morgan show when he failed to condemn Hamas attacks and kidnappings and killings of Israeli civilians that opened the door of hell to its Palestinian population. During that interview he also failed to condemn adjoining Muslim countries such as Egypt for not opening their borders to the Palestinian refugees. So much for the concept of the ummah, he dares to talk about the ummatic community only to fail to talk about the responsibility of ummah in the adjoining Muslim countries to Israel-Palestine who should have done the ummatic thing and save the lives of their brothers and sisters from Gaza. Absolute shame and hypocrisy. Students are not able to orchestrate criminal acts that have been taking place in Bangladesh, which means some foreign players may have had a hand in influencing the current orgy of anarchy. Is it the ISI or CIA or China or a combined trinity? Difficult to say. But Hasina did state last year that the US was not happy with her administration because she refused to lease out the Saint Martin’s island to the US for them to establish a military base. She thus indicated a plan being hatched for a regime change. Intelligence services need to investigate exactly how the regime change took place at light speed; if there is evidence to show that the US was behind the plot then I would not be surprised because they did fund the mujahedin in Afghanistan during the war with the USSR, Israel’s Netanyahu, supported the funding of Hamas, the US has diplomatic links with the Taliban. Many Muslim groups not aware how there is foreign powers can use manipulate them, without them even knowing. You can see how warped and messed up Dilly’s analysis was, biased and hypocritical. Non Bengalis wouldn’t have a clue about the above information if they solely relied on Dilly. What is more concerning is that Dilly knew about the information given above but chose to hide it or was completely clueless, a major embarrassment to the ummah. I would urge Muslims brothers and sisters to exercise their critical thinking and challenge narratives that are put to them. During my university days in the 1990s I did challenge Hizb ut Tahrir (UK) and their egotistical leaders, which they didn’t like. Same with the Al-Muhajiroun splinter group led by the infamous Omar Bakri Mohammad and Anjem Choudry. Islam 21C is an organisation I receive newsletters from and updates, but I have no respect for them because of their conspiracy theories about apparent government plots to destroy Islam, just like HT, ALM and Al Gurraba. A few years ago I responded to sh. Haitham’s irresponsible statement about the Covid lockdowns. To conclude, I hope the new government in Bangladesh continues with the successes of the previous administration, whilst defending free speech and protecting minorities inshaAllah. Whilst many Muslims pray, go to Jummah etc. we saw that Islamic and religious values were jettisoned after Hasina’s departure and replaced by barbarism, hate and vengeance. These should have been called out. My speech to the British parliamentarians and representatives from AL and BNP at the House of Lords in 2011, hosted by Lord Avebury. Worth listening to; if only the AL and BNP had followed my advice 13 years ago. Link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jniciImPbLaIeKssi=iCGJpR_t4v5l1QQN
