Thank you for your course. Where can we define the word "help" in this case? I saw HELP goes with both, but what is the difference?
@allamericanenglish31112 жыл бұрын
We define any word by its context. So, please give me some uses or examples of the word "help", and I'll define its meaning for you, okay.

@@allamericanenglish3111 My understanding is that "help" comes with gerunds, but here are some examples I found online: 1- This program is designed to help you increase the quality of life. 2- This program is designed to help you become an excellent student. 3- I am committed to helping you build you skills 4- You can talk to an experienced family law attorney for help enforcing your child support order. 5-which has been found to help reading skills 6-I bought these stickers to help typing to my 11 year old son who has autism Thank you.

In these examples, The gerunds and infinitives are acting as nouns, right?

Gerunds always function as nouns, but infinitives "can" function as a noun, adjective, or adverb. Watch the video again if you're still confused, okay.
