Even tho I am not a native speaker, I pick up all these meanings by instinct, as I am using the english language almost every day, and also I do take learning languages seriously. This video is a real eye-opener. I started teaching english not too long ago, and I couldnt really explain this very thing to my students. I followed my own logic about "gerunds" (which I dodnt know were called gerunds at that time) and I basically came to the same conclusion, and almost had the same examples as I see in the video. This was a great ego boost for me, and makes me think that I am so much closer to a native speaker than I tought I am. Keep up the good work, you gut a subscriber :)

Thanks so much for your class. At the end is all about getting in touch naturally with verb patterns but my students are not native speakers so it’s difficult for them to get this subject they need more understanding basis. They need to know why these verb patterns.

If you dont mind, i would like to correct you. The right form is "Your explanation are amazing", because possessive adjectives is followed by a noun. And "Thanks for sharing with us..." Because it's a gerund, for more specific gerund after preposition. Hope it helps

@@ginaldoschuina6558 If you have problems with listening skills or you don't even understand what you hear, so let me help you how to improve your ears to catch every single word especially when you watch movies. there's no magic to get this ability or skill in one day! but there's a particular way to improve it as much as possible. in fact you need to exercise your ears and also pay attention carefully. It may takes a long time to understand what's going on through movies or even in difficult conversations but If you practice over and over again, I promise you that you will see the results so soon. you're going to have better listening skills that you've never expected before. so I suggest you to check out our You tube channel "GoodWave" If would like to see the improvement quickly. each video contains some parts that took from movies and also has subtitles to help you understand well.
