This is the symphony where AP “finds his voice” and launches into his epic quest. Thanks for posting this performance it is compelling. The scores of the 5th and 7th are (or were) available as PDF downloads. The proof of AP’s greatness is on the page for all to see.

I share your limitless admiration for Pettersson. However listen anew to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Symphonies. Pettersson’s “voice” was there from the beginning. It is necessary to grasp this, because how could one understand otherwise the late symphonies, starting with the 13th, where the ambiguities of his beginnings reappear in full.

You Tube seems to have deleted Pettersson's 3rd Symphony. Tragedy.

I don't believe that You Tube are to blame. There is most likely a copyright issue raised by the CD publisher.
