I personally don't like luxury items that have the brand's logo all over them... I find it tacky and distasteful. I do like luxury pieces that do not have the brand's logo anywhere on outside of them! So much more classy!!

As someone who used to sell luxury handbags, I can tell you you are 100% correct. They are made with less quality and on a more massive scale with less care. Also they are usually ugly and on the sly we (the sales associates) ALWAYS judges the people who bought them.

I love red shoes, I own three pairs of red boots in various styles, some I'm with Dejan on the Gucci loafers! And I think if you purchase a classic style designer sunglasses can be a really sound investment but the key is a classic style that you know you'll wear forever. I have a pair of black Saint Laurent sunglasses that I wear all the time and they go with everything (likewise with a pair of ivory and gold Gucci clubmaster sunnies). I started off with just investing in designer sunglasses, made some pretty regrettable purchases along the way, but it's actually the cheapest/easiest way to get into purchasing luxury goods if you aren't rolling in the cash.

A really good way to stay away from falling into the influencer trend and spending lots of money that you don't need to is to just hire products! You can hire designer clothes and accessories, use them for an event, take all your insta pics, and then give them back! Saves money and commitment!!

Great video, I worked in women's designer ready to wear for many years. Like you I quickly realized how fast trends fell in and out of favor. Consequently I bought full in on classics. Years later I'm grateful I have gorgeous classic black styles, but I do enjoy mixing high classic pieces with lower end 'style trend' items.

I’ve sold things through The Real Real and they are Very picky! Also they don’t price things as high as I would perhaps have liked. They do pay their sellers every month like clockwork though. And to all of you who bought size 7 and 1/2 Ferragamo shoes for less than $100 a pair, they were brand new and I paid hundreds for each pair. You got an amazing deal!

I’ve been buying luxury for many many years and my regret was a Chloé Faye. The medium size. It looked very cute but it wasn’t my style and it didn’t fit that much cuz it’s such a flat bag. It also doesn’t stand up. Maybe that’s silly but I don’t like that. Def a hyped up item. Also I never really got the logo mania. Like the Gucci shirt. So I get why you’re not wearing it. I do own a Louis bag in the Empreinte leather like your wallet. It has logos but they’re just not as visible as the logos on the canvas. The advice you gave is 100 % true. Don’t buy into the hype. Don’t impulse buy and think about it. I have some wonderful classic pieces which I know I will wear forever.

I have the exact same red loafers from Gucci but I got them as a gift..I probably wore them 3 times and I have them since probably 5 years ;-) They are such a statement, I pulled it off with destroyed denims and white tank top in the summer..I don't even think they are really comfortable in all honesty! I prefer my Birks ;-) I would suggest to buy yourself a HERMES scarf and the tie for women that you can wear in your hair or has a tie with a shirt, t-shirt, tank top. These pieces never go out of style! I got the scarf for my 5th wedding anniversary and the tie for my 12th ;-) I don't really wear a lot of jewelry so these pieces make me really happy, I keep the nice boxes and unwrap them each time I want to wear one of them!

This may seem odd but I used to work for a sunglasses company and sometimes cheap sunglasses can cause damage to your eyes due to poor uv protection and also the material the lenses are made from. Some glasses that are made cheaply can have warping to the lens, our eyes naturally adjust so in the long run it can cause eye strain. Please just research before buying cheap lenses :)

I agree with your comment on designer sunglasses but also think people should be careful with dupes to make sure that the lenses have appropriate UV protection. A lot of the cheaper brands only offer category 1 lenses which is “fashion” and only offer minimal protection. I think it’s important to have category 3 or higher.

Can I also say that if an item is really good, you should keep it even if you don't use it or it doesn't fit anymore? Put it away and wait for your daughter to enjoy it!!! I use so many of my mother's luxury bags, dresses, and cashmere sweaters. To this day, those are the ones I love the most because A) they have a sentimental value, B) they transcend trends and are vintage classics, and C) the quality is way better than today's (even for the same brand).
