I think it's lasting one more hint: the flow of leg. I had so many difficulties in power of my shooting because I didn't left my leg continue the movement. The inertia thing. You can't touch the ball and stop the movement. You have to let your leg go on after the kick.

Finally someone explains this correctly!! My kids’ coaches are teaching to hit with their laces and toes pointed down. Had to break them out of it because I’ve injured myself shooting this way.

People talk a lot of smack about Americans when it comes to football, especially regarding shooting with laces. But this is the only channel I know of where there is a big emphasis placed on rotating the ankle when shooting with power, while also giving great advice on how to practise this technique. a couple of hidden hacks (idk if anybody agrees w this) - 1) backswing. bend knees on back swing. your shooting foot should be almost touching your butt. 2) support leg stable. max flexion on your non-shooting leg. almost like a scissors-like movement. as you whip your shooting leg forward from back-swing, your support leg should be flexing backwards.
