No comments on the talent coming out of NZ school boy rugby, the quality of kicking from 1st 5 eights, or the skill level needed to maintain quite a few phases at the level these guys are playing at! Awesome game, and disappointing Hastings couldn't snatch it late!

Didn't watch the full game, but Ham Boys do a deliberate knockdown of the ball and then get a penalty??? It should have been no advantage and Hastings ball with a potential card handed out. Terrible reffing.

well as Hastings kept the ball he played advantage, which he is allowed to do. They then run a fair bit beyond the advantage line, so the ref can say advantage over. At that point they were penalised for not releasing. seems fair enough to me

@@tobyallen6393 knocking the ball down even in a failed intercept attempt is almost always a yellow card. It's a serious offense and it should have been bought back. It was literally the same phase. It wasn't like it had been multiple phases after.
