Allen Bradley Micrologix Connecting over Ethernet Devices and Ethernet/IP Configuration RsLogix 500

Tim, I need help! Trying to connect to a MicroLogix 1100, which I’ve many many times. The IP is 10.218.120.9 I’ve tried Ethernet Ip and Ethernet drivers. Set my computer to manual and Ethernet to 10.218.120. 20 When I configure drivers and choose my Ethernet adapter is doesn’t show the IP address, it shows unknown ? I can’t connect to the 1100 and it won’t ping either. I am using windows 11 I’m lost any suggestions Thanks Doug

Can I use a wireless router as my network switch and access the whole network over WiFi?

As long as you can ping the device over wifi then yes.

Can you ping it? If so check your rslinx revision

@@TimWilborne even after ping its still unrecognised in the ethernet I/P it shows nothing but with ethernet device after entering the IP its displays unrecognised device

@@Inspire25567 Which adapter did you select when adding the Ethernet/IP, it is either browsing the wrong network (such as wifi) or you have some type of internet security software that is blocking port 2222 or 44818,

@@TimWilborne I have run into a similar issue. I am not sure how to ping the PLC. It shows unrecognized device and can not connect. It also shows this when the cable isn't even attached. I have tried a few different ethernet cables. Is it perhaps my ethernet to USB converter?

What is the absolute 'smallest' PLC on the market today? Thinking of a future project where size would be an important factor. If it happened to have a built in sequencer too, that would be icing on the cake. :)
