It's been brought to my attention that there was an issue on the Card Destruction slide where the bullet points were duplicated from the previous slide (Zombyra the Dark). I apologize, as this sort of thing normally doesn't happen. Needless to say, Card Destruction is NOT bad vs Scapegoat/TER/etc. The bullets should read: - Side out vs other TDrag decks - Risky in Chaos mirrors - Play in matchups where you can break its symmetry

Learning what to side deck out has been the biggest improvement in my side decking ability by far, and it’s thanks to this channel that I started actively thinking about it. Before I felt like I had no idea how to side deck effectively, now I feel like I have some sense of it.

The only thing out of these I learned by myself was to side out NOC because I just noted how often it was dead in my hand and how easy it is to play around if you run no flips.
@metagaming70252 жыл бұрын
if u play a lot of traps and play against reasoning gate for example, i agree that heavy storm is not good but the chances are high that your oppenent is siding in royal decrees and heavy storm is one of a few out for that. Just want to remind that you also have to consider what the opponent is siding in against you
@DeVito92 Жыл бұрын
Yep, reasoning you need judgment and cursed spell but against other decks i would have always a storm.

I actually have sided IN MoF for my warrior deck in certain matchups as my opponent usually sides out their NoC so the MoF will go off the majority of the time. If it does get NoC, it also hits their MoFs which I'm fine with.

The thing about heavy storm is that is so powerful that tye format has been built, in part, so that decks are made to not be easily stormed.
@519Goats2 жыл бұрын
A well timed Card D in a turbo mirror can be deviating but you to time it right u have to have very good read on what’s in their hand and trying to get rid of their BLS or Sorc or other big cards

I tried side-out heavy storm theory a few month back. But I love gameshot. Heavy, trunade, solemn, cold wave and my body as a shield all enable otk through multiple backrow because you don't have to guess. You just use it make your subsequent plays and win. So I would agree with you if it was all about card advantage but in deck more reliant on OTK (like a lot of version of goat control nowadays) you can keep it.
@deruneldembal50482 жыл бұрын
Yes i would side out sakuretsu vs standard chaos, but I play goat control often. The people ik and play online mostly ( randoms) like to side in asura priests or other cards like even parshath. So yeah i kinda like leaving in 1 saku or siding in 1. most of the time its bad yeah but if they side asuras and u have nothing for that then....

If you go 2nd vs Warrior or Burn, do you side out Delinquent Duo ??
@519Goats2 жыл бұрын
Yes and no. If your opponents not that skilled they will hold cards longer . Or you can get them to solemn a Duo allowing you to use other cards . You should side Duo out against burn players .
@GoatDuels2 жыл бұрын
It depends. It shouldn't be the first thing that you look to side out, but it's a possibility. Vs Warriors, Duo can usually trade for at least one card. So having a card that's sometimes a +1 and other times a +0 is still pretty good.

I disagree with siding Out Night Assailant vs Warriors. Your raigeki, Card D get worse + opponents Duo. Deko does even less than NA.

keep noble in if playing ACP / players who claim to be 'good' when they are on warriors. They'll start G2 or G3 setting don or lady or something then rage when u noble muttering 'this noob shouldn't have kept that in.' ps I enjoy that card destruction is a 'good target for thousand-eyes restrict' etc. (5:59)
@GoatDuels2 жыл бұрын
I'm basically never setting Don Zaloog in Warriors, because that's not really a good play even if you think that your opponent took out their Crossouts. Keeping in your one Crossout for the possibility that they set their one D.D. Warrior Lady is not a good idea. You're not "outplaying" your opponent even if you happen to catch it. Sorry for technical difficulty on the Card Destruction slide. There must have been an issue while the video was rendering. I'll make a note of that.

I think that this list could be even longer, i might include Torrential and Call etc. Maybe a pt2 video on this topic? Question: if you play earth/aggro build, would you play gigantes instead heavy storm? Nice video, always very informative, thanks
@GoatDuels2 жыл бұрын
You're right, the list could've been longer. Thanks for the feedback.
@GoatDuels2 жыл бұрын
With Earth, it's fine to side out Heavy and leave in Gigantes.

Tbh I really dislike playing against goat vets, they always take the fun out of the format by playing degenerately or tech no one is even prepared for. Goat is most fun in mirror match control, with both intermediate skill level. It really becomes the fair, balanced and fun yugioh i set out to play which is why im playing goats in the first place

I'd like to see videos on transition side decking, that is to say, side decking strategies that swap 10-15 cards to completely throw the opponent off balance.
@GoatDuels2 жыл бұрын
Transition siding isn't done a lot in Goat Format, but we did go over one transition side idea here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gafbZaOqja1sd6M

Why is noc a bad card to main in your eyes?
@AzIgaziMakk2 жыл бұрын
Well i agree with everything but Heavy Storm it's insanely huge maybe, if i have no monsters its pointless to chain raigeki break, ring etc etc. Well the reasoning gate if it plays no traps at all then yea sure but heavy storm can enable game shot.
@GoatDuels2 жыл бұрын
If your best case scenario is "maybe I'll hit Raigeki Break while I have an empty field" then we're talking about something that is not a very good card. Sure, you'll find situations where Heavy is good, but we don't play cards because "occasionally it might be good."
@AzIgaziMakk2 жыл бұрын
@@GoatDuels Well true, also deck dependent do you consider it that bad when it could potentionally win you the game? Honestly you maybe right but i feel just having this chance has too much value. On a goat mirror with million chainables it's very likely true.
