Best Gas Boiler! That is a very tall statement, especially as it’s not been fitted and trialled yet. However, a very smart move regarding KZbin stats. As it’s bound to attract loads of views and comments. The pipe sizes, due to the Kw and length of runs in some properties would leave a lot to be desired! @@AllenHart999 I can easily recreate with brass parts the functionality of the plastic part from the presented boiler; and the management of the pump functionality is done by the automation of the pump that comes with an integrated temperature sensor (there are pumps that have even more advanced functionalities than the one from grundfos - ex: hourly control) or they can use a simpler pump and a dedicated controller to manage hot water recirculation function. I chose the Intergas brand because on hot water it has only an internal coil without water flow switch, and the boiler works on hot water as a storage boiler keeping the heat exchanger preheated :)

@@AllenHart999 I thought you connect the hot and cold to the plastic themostatic mixing valve you had, not to each other. Plus you must create a loop with flow and return from which you tee off all dhw demand points. Like a bronze pump on a cylinder only difference piping up is the feed into the system is at farthest point and controlled by that black plastic thingy so as to recirc all the preheated water in before new cold gets into the heat exchanger. The expansion vessel for DHW is a clue that they have had issues with cracks or pinholes in there plastic DHW hydroblocks. Never see them called for on a all brass hydonics boiler let alone chucked in the box. Water hammer from when the hot is slammed closed fast creates huge pressure spikes that the plastic cant stand thousands of times for years. Think of the mass of all the liquid that is moving when we open a tap, it has a lot of momentum energy (mass x speed) which we force into a sudden stop by closing a quarter turn tap for example. Not good for brittle plastics.

Going to buy this unit as the technology sounds good. The American reviews maybe true but it is down to the manufacturing off the unit and the quality control. I hope Navien has addressed these issues and as far as I am aware this company is the only one still developing gas combi boiler so hats off to them. Will update once fitted and running for 3 months through the winter. The recirculation can be programmed to recirc, guess hourly or intelligently ie if your at work during day no need to recirculate. This is a amazing feature as combi boilers will usually have cold water (previously heated) sitting in the hot pipe so when you turn the hot tap on you have to wait for the water to heat up and the distance from the boiler to the tap will determine how long it takes to receive hot water. This little recirc valve save a shed load of water per year. It also has Geo fencing so can turn on the heater/recirc maybe when you're closer to home. Not to sure on this though.

@jezzaandrews19402 жыл бұрын
Why are people hung up with the 54KW? If you have adequate water flow and gas, this boiler will save you heating up 100's litres of water stored in a tank and not used. If it produces 22 litre a min, you could have 3 showers going at the same time. Never run out of hot water. The heating side is only capable of 34KW and can modulate down to 3.4KW. 10.1 The hot water has a 15.1 modulation range. A Vaillant Ecotec has a 6.1 modulation range? They might be good or bad boilers, but I'm sure that different manufacturers will learn from the different tech and copy some of their ideas.

@@AllenHart999 Hi Allen yes the older models , but not the New Range yet . There back up is the Best in the industry from my experience and it's normally not the boiler that is at fault . I also fit that Oil range of Boilers they have a 10 year warranty and comes standard as Blue Flame and 2 stage Hi and Low burner pressures. Easy to handle due to there weight.
