Sort of true. Nord built many 1001's under 'license' (although it was more a case of the Germans forcing a French aero company to manufacture German aircraft during occupation), but after the war, many of the Nord 1001's were original Bf 108 airframes, that were collected from around Europe and re-engined with the Renaults, as the Argus (Hirth) factory had been bombed. I've worked on a 'Nord 108' that had a few extra holes in the firewall from the original Argus install, and all through the airframe were German part numbers and sign-off signatures.

@@mothmagic1 Actually, the 108/1001 as a four seater is only a standard aircraft, but I think if flown two up is capable of basic aerobatics (loops, rolls and immelmann)?
