Easy One Skein Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern

You can make a baby blanket with just one skein of yarn! This easy how to crochet video shows you how to hook a baby blanket quickly.
Did you know you could make a mini crochet throw with just one skein of Red Heart's With Love yarn? This one skein wonder is perfect for newborns, babies in strollers and to use as lapghans for elderly in wheelchairs. If you'd prefer a bigger blanket, it's so easy to do! Just make your starting chain as long as you want and follow the pattern on a larger scale. You will need more skeins of yarn, of course. To make this gorgeous blanket, you'll be using a combination of v-stitches and crochet puff stitches. Don't worry if you're a beginner because Kristi will show you how it's done.

This is a pretty blanket! It on my list to make. FYI it’s very helpful to place in text the yard weight, how many yds, the hook sizes & also the stitch count ( 2 count or 4 count repeat) etc. makes it easier for beginner and regular hookers. Love the pattern, but disappointed that you didn't keep to the written pattern (or alter it to reflect that you removed the sc between the dc's to make a V stitch). I am an intermediate crocheter, so made the adjustment. You should also have mentioned to crochet the last dc in the third stitch of the turning chain. Again, useful for the beginning crocheter so they don't get a wonky looking edge. Otherwise, very nice pattern that works up quickly:)

I did 70 × 3 chains plus 1... which is 70, 70, 70, plus 1... You can use a stitch marker for every 70 chains so you don't lose count... Good luck ladies

Mary Avalos You probably have the answer by now. I think it would be depending on how tightly you crochet. If it isn’t you can always add a pretty border to make it bigger.

Wondering how many ounces is the "With love" yarn this pattern calls for? It looks to be the same 7oz super saver size but it must be larger. Because super saver (using this exact pattern) didn't come to a size of 20×40". I'll make it work, I always do.

Your video and the written pattern do not agree. The pattern calls for a chain 1 for in between the V stitch, while your video did not do this. Plus, in the written pattern did you really mean for row 7 through 21 to just be the V stitch? So the alternating V stitch and Puff stitch are only on the ends?
