Sometimes I wish Allie would just be critical of a product and not bend over backwards trying to make a product sound beautiful and exciting. For those who haven’t watched yet, basically, don’t use this product the way it is advertised because it makes the pores on your cheeks look huge. Use ANOTHER brand’s blush first and then barely top with this if you already accidentally bought it. The Hourglass blush is beautiful for sure. It is ok to be critical of a product when it doesn’t work.

This! It’s okay to not like a product. I don’t buy products based off of influencer reviews because I know they are just trying to stay on a PR list. I hate saying that, but that’s what it feels like.

But it does work just in light amounts i don’t see how she bent over backwards to make it sound good. It clearly is very pretty. It’s just like with any product if you use too much it’s not gonna look good. Allie is honest and wouldn’t lie to us. She explains everything and it is your choice if you want to deal with it or not

Thanks for the review. I purchased it in color Joy. It’s beautiful on my skin and I find it pigmented enough to use as a blush. I don’t have large pores so that is not an issue for me but I understand it won’t work for those with large pores near their cheeks.

I already use 3 different blushes in my daily routine, liquid matte blush, matte blush to grant the color (after setting with powder) and top it with loreal shiny blush acting as a highlight too. Just love the effect, i could see myself using these rare blushes! ❤

I just got it today and at first I loved it. BUT, within a couple of hours my usually unnoticeable pores looked like craters. Going to return it and try the Hourglass you recommended.

I purchased my RB blush (I am not on their list) and her review is exactly what I feel like. It can emphasize the texture if used as a regular blush but when used the right way, the flush and glow is beautiful!! Also, it shortens my time and keeps my travel bag light because I don't have to carry a separate high lighter. I feel like this is the reason we follow beauty "gurus"/youtubers because they will show us how to use products the right way and not just say its horrible/ its so good like the reviews you see on sephora or influensters at times. Reviewing a product definitely is an art and not everyone can do it well. You can tell very well that she's not biased. She is not glorifying the product. She says that she doesn't like products that emphasize her texture and this clearly does it when used like a traditional powder blush (a lot of people would use it this way) so she shows how to use it the right way to get the best result out of it. This to me is talent.

Hi, Allie. You are my favourite KZbinr and I really trust your opinion and your recommendations. But since there are so many different products it is sometimes hard to decide what exactly to get (if you have to choose). I love French Rose by RMS. It has to be one of the most beautiful blushes I have ever tried. And I always get compliments when I wear it. Thanks for the Rare Beauty review; I was thinking of picking up one or two during the Sephora sale but am rethinking it as they appear to be more "highlighty" than a normal blush would be. And I have enough highlighters to last me a lifetime.

I started with Hope, loved it, and went and got a few others…actually returned a haus lab blush to get these instead. I think they are great toppers and are very pretty eyeshadows. It really doesn’t emphasize texture as I was worried about pores but to your point avoid that area. I have problems with blush lasting but bcz I layer it stays well.

I have the shade Happy and what I’ve learned is that a little goes a very long way or else it looks bad, and please don’t use the Rare Beauty Blush Brush with it, it’s too dense, you need a more fluffy brush or else it looks bad. I wish I liked the product more, but I just wouldn’t recommend them. Especially if you have to BARELY use it in order for it to look good, or you have to use it with a different blush? Seems like such a waste of money to me personally.

You’re not supposed to use this product on the apples of your cheeks. You put it more on your cheekbones / on the high points of cheeks and temples.
