I know they are friends now, but I don't know if Lzzy knows there is actual footage of 14y/o Dany saying in an interview that "Lzzy Hale" is her role model as a front woman. It really was one of her childhood idols gifting her the guitar.

It’s only fitting that Lzzy passed the ‘torch’ (Explorer) to Dany, so to speak. And there’s no better or more deserving person to have that moment and gift. Lzzy sees herself so much in Dany so it’s kudos to her for recognizing the talent and passion Dany (and the band) has. It’s also nice to see that both have mutual inspiration and formed a sisterhood. This story should be replicated esp. for up and coming bands. There’s so much talent out there. ✌🏼

What a great story. I was made aware of a band called Halestorm by WMMR radio in Philly and saw them play the MMRBQ and it was full on nonstop excitement the entire time. Good people are good people and Lizzy really is good people. I saw the Warning last year and they brought the excitement and energy as well.

I was lucky enough to be at this show when it occurred a couple years back. At the time it wasn't clear to the audience that she was gifting the guitar to Dany. But it was very cool thing to do! I had seen Halestorm a few times already and had been on the fence about going since it was any outside show in August in TX but I had recently been getting into The Warning and decided to brave the heat and was glad I did. It was a great show overall but the Dany\Lzzy exchange was really cool to see! Cool to hear Lzzy talk about it. Lzzy sounds and looks a bit tired in the interview. Kinda seems like she has cottonmouth too. Hope she's ok. Cool interview all the same!

As a recent member of The Warning army this moved me as well. Female musicians get so much shit even when they are killing it. I was a fan of Halestorm early on and now I feel like The sisters are on that cusp as well. Signature sound, great stage presence, and great songwriting. Lzzy, I’m a big fan, had a halestorm record when I was in a real tight spot where I was limited on music for a whole year. Y’all really gotta realize being a girl is a good thing. It feels like anytime a girl does something good, they act like it’s a curse. And that’s dumb because It definitely helps y’all more than it hurts you. If you were a guy, there’s a fair chance y’all would’ve never gotten signed. Now im not saying that’s the only reason y’all got signed, I’m just saying it’s easier to take a gamble on because it’s easier to sell if the record is no good. These days, being a band like the warning, they’re about to get pushed like you’ve never seen. They had to work and develop to grow into what they are now, but I’d be shocked if they don’t make a super bowl appearance in the next few years. But that’s what I hate about it. They’re a great band that I love right now that I guarantee you some rich liberal slime ball is just waiting to pounce on them and use them to push his own agenda. I genuinely pray those girls can see what’s happening around them. I pray they stay true to their hearts and don’t give in to this fallen world, and I pray that they can keep a tight close family and crew around them. But most of all, I pray they accept Jesus if they haven’t already in Jesus’ Name.
