At the end of the last show many of us sat in our seats and cried. For me, it had been 43 years from the first to the last. A Trip I'll always cherish.

This was also my last time seeing ABB. No better place than Wanee for it. I'm crying now. I cry every time I leave there and dream about the next one all year. I couldn't imagine how it was going to be without Butch. I truly thought Gregg was going to recover and be back next year. Their spirits are still in the Wanee air and trees and in the beautiful Wanee people. I almost never get up early enough to see the 1st act at the Mushroom stage, but I did to see the Marcus King Band..... WoW. Largest crowd ever for the 1st act at The Mushroom Stage and with good reason. Wanee will never be the same, but it will always be a Merry Wanee. Xxxx

Thank You, I was teary eyed at the show when they played "not my cross to bear" And you helped rekindle it. I was standing further back because I didnt want to fight the crowds.but you got some great footage and thanks for taking the time to video tape it. I did it last year but didnt enjoy the show as much! Saturday night will forever be embraced in my memory!!! :))))))

Robert Pettigrew ...robert, I couldn't agree more. leaves such a hole..but I for one plan on collecting as many shows I can from this late incarnation. they made so much killer music from 2003-2014. and lots to collect. I'm sorry, but this was THE best of the best when it came to line ups...I mean, duane and Dickey and the rest only together 3 yrs and only released so much music and most of its the same...not to complain, I'm collecting all those as well...but have you heard the fox box for instance? 29 songs, all different (with the exception of Dreams) OMG, now that's 3 nights of FIRE ! If you haven't collected it, get it..it's a must have...but, yeah, being ABB is all I listen to 90% of the time, I feel ya brother. rock on Robert, Shawn in Az

Thanks for shooting this. I didn't take my HD cam this year because, as you probably know, shooting takes a lot of concentration. I just wanted to fungi freak around this year.

By far the biggest concert regret of my lifetime was not going to this Wanee. My buddy kept prodding me but I just wasn't feeling it that weekend and the lineup was spectacular. I have seen ABB, TTB, Gov Mule more times than I can count but I messed up on this one.

Gregg looks tired. Time for him to rest. Lets hope he does instead of trying to scrap together a post-Allmans tribute. Better to burn out than fade away!

Live sucks for so many reasons. Not the least of which is the IDIOTIC visual behind the stage! I purchase MUSIC, not personalities. Let's hear it for recording engineers and STUDIO music.
@btragal5 жыл бұрын
An interesting comment. It's not the greatest video ever, or professionally recorded, but it captures 2014 ABB with pretty good audience audio (a tribute to the engineers doing the live mix)...The first two songs happen to be the very same two that open ABB's 1969 debut album. You're welcome to go back and listen to that (I just did and it sounds great) but a lot of people enjoy live music because it has different takes and jams, sometimes extended, than what they've heard so many times before. And in the case of the third song here, that's not on any ABB album at all...Although this show was professionally recorded and you can buy it, it wasn't professionally filmed and some people like video...Finally what's so bad about the behind stage visual? Do you go to concerts? I'll admit some artists are way over the top and truly "idiotic" with their light shows, etc., but this is fairly simple, isn't it? Yes, there'll always be folks (such as 70's rock critics) who'll insist studio versions are better than "indulgent" live versions, plus you'll rarely find a live album that's recorded as well as what you can achieve in a studio with multiple mics, baffles, endless takes if you miss a note, etc...but I'm a live guy. Anyway thanks for firing me up this morning I'm awake now:)
