I just bought 2 of the s2000 Pro during the holidays for $900 and $700 CAD respectively, and for that price it was a deal. I have done some testing, and so far I have been able to plug several of my office devices and a freezer into one generator, with no issues whatsoever. The UPS function worked as expected, so my workstation stayed on, which was a nice to have use case. Also, I have setup my gas furnace to be able to be run from the generator, and this worked perfectly. I will be testing the 30 amp connection on my RV over the summer, in particular the A/C, to see if the 4000 watt surge allows for start-up. Finally, just an idea, if you need to connect two of these in series, just plug one to the outlet and another to the first generator; the power loss in this is about 3%. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the review. I'm looking for a power station that can run a portable fridge/freezer in a van and a microwave (2/3 times use, input 1150w for 10mins max) and in a budget, so good to see the pros n cons stated in your review, thanks!
@Bowmans-Woods
@Bowmans-Woods 7 ай бұрын
That is what we need on our boat. Something large enough to run our Microwave and other big draw products for short periods of time. I think you probably want to look for something that can handle at least 1500W but preferably 2000W so you are not pushing it too hard. I have reviewed a fair number now and will review more in the future. Always going to say the pros and cons. Almost no products are prefect and you can find some cons. Important to point them out.

Have a few of these. Bought May 2022. Used daily to power domestic appliances such as coffee machine, 1800w one cup hot water for tea, induction hob and a tall fridge and a tall freezer drawing around 50 to 100w peak. Smart tv and kids PCs. Whilst im sure these are not on par with ecoflow or bluetti, they are better than jackery! Mine are used either, on the road in a uk spec rv or at home. Power outage, no issue for at least 24hrs on one device. But combined with home solar, 12v 10a charging the battery is up to 100% in a few hours. The bonus for these, are ups, essential for my kids PCs drawing 100w each for 7 to 10 hrs a day, bit more value at night saving 14kw of electric nightly per week. One wont hit 100% charge. So ive a mounted 400w AP solar panel next to it hung on a wall. As soon as i plug into xt60 port it kicks to 100. Negatives over long time use. Fluctuation of draw, one night of tv on 100w draw is not replicated on another day. So 50% @100w over 8hrs on a Monday, repeated tuesday, wednesday and so on, will ptoduce a final reading of 40/75/89% no significsnt change to use! Duel ac and solar charge allows another 100w quick chrge. The AP say 80% in 1.5hours, not a chance 3hrs at best. Positives, portable. For rv use, i take 2, it forfills out needs and in a total failure of on board lead battery, we still have power. I use an adaptor to plug dirtectly to the rv, howevet best practice is to simply plug in an extension lead to power appliances. I did noy pay the prices youve mentioned but id buy more at £800 if they sold them on offer. Which they did in UK a few months ago My final good point, But this equates to all solar generators. If home owners have a wall mounted battery system, they are limited to that home, if they break, an expensive replacement beyond warranty. Buy a generator is small cost should one become defunct. Happy days.

I bought the All Powers R4000 watt with 3600 cycles advertised (LifePo4) and touch screen. I got it for the 30 amp RV outlet which I'll power my motor-home. *Tip- Amazon cheapest price for R4000 was $2650. I checked eBay and found the same R4000 with 2 All Powers 200 watt X2 portable panels for $1900 with a 'Make offer option. Offered $1700 for R4000 plus 2 portable solar panel packages and 2 hours later it was on a Fed Ex truck free coming my way.* I really like it but be prepared for a 100 lb unit.

Just an FYI for anyone thinking about buying this….. Don’t Waste Your Money!!! I bought one, used it 2 times then it would not power on any more. I contacted Allpowers and they did not replace or even fix it. They tried to tell me that I over charged it. How is that even possible? It’s too much money for something that doesn’t work, and the fact that they don’t stand behind their product says a lot. They know they are selling a faulty product, that’s why it’s so cheap compared to others.

I ordered a smaller 1500watt refurbished allpower generator But they ended up sending me this model by mistake! $400 for an s2000! Still cant believe it. BTW my usb plugs charge my phone at 10 watts so maybe they have changed the outlets. Also for being a bigger battery it sure does charge faster than my 1000 watt pecron. But Would i have been happy buying this at full price probably not when better brands only cost a few more dollars

Good for you. Score! Ya the AllPowers charge very fast. I have noticed that when it is near dead it will often charge at nearly 1500W until it gets closer to full where it will lower the charge rate.

@@Bowmans-Woods We are off to a bit of a rough start so far. AllPowers recommended I run 2-3 cycles to rectify issues. On the first run down it shut it self off at 40% capacity remaining for some reason. On the current run down it is depleting much faster than it should under a 60 watt AC load. I'll report back as things progress.

@@Bowmans-Woods So here is the update to this point. When I first received the unit, there were 2 issues. One was that it would shut down at 40% capacity and the other was that the estimated time to 0% was WAY off based on the load applied to the battery. I reached to the Allpowers and they suggested that I fully cycle the battery 2-3 times to remedy the issue. This calibrated the battery and it now runs all the way to 0% which is good. However, the estimated time to 0% timer was still nowhere near close to accurate. This seems like such a simple calculation to get right, but given that it's easy to get a good estimate doing the math quickly in your head it's not a big issue to me. That said the Allpowers did offer me $50 refund because of the issue which the blamed on a bug. So I thought I was good to go at that point, but during my latest used this weekend it stopped charging via solar panel and will do so no longer. I again reached out to Allpowers and they are yet to get back to me. This issue is a nonstarter for me. If there is no end user fix for this, the unit is going back. I will keep you updated. Stay tuned...

I've tested this one with my normal fridge, 1450W microwave, small 1000W oven, 1350W water boiler and even a 1500W radiator heater and all of them worked flawlessly. So for the price I've paid, I definitively recommend it. I don't know the price in US because like I've said in my original comment, I'm Canadian so I've bought it from Amazon Canada, but if you can have the equivalent price I've paid but on Amazon US, I wouldn't hesitate one second to purchase it.

No it's not worth the money. None of the Chinese made high frequency, "output transformer free" solar generators on today's market including this Allpowers, Bluetti and Delta II units last very long. They are of a high frequency, transformerless design and the cheap Chinese manufactured MOSFETs used in these units cannot take repeated exposures to high surge loads such as full sized refrigerators, large power tools or large microwave ovens. Without an iron core, copper wound transformer to absorb the back EMF and high surge demands of these high inductance loads, typically after about a year's worth of use these expensive solar generator will become a non-repairable brick. You might be able to start and run some high surge loads when this inverter is new but every time you fire up or shut down that inductive load, you're shortening the life of the MOSFETs in your solar generator. They also run much hotter than low frequency, transformer based inverters which makes the low cost, off spec, Chinese made components such as capacitors, diodes, resistors and ICs that are used in these cheap solar generators, far more prone to early failure. Another major consideration with these high frequency, transformer free solar generators is safety. All it takes is for one of their MOSFETs or IGBTs to short to ground or the control circuitry to fail, and these units will send dangerous, high voltage, high amperage DC current straight to your connected AC loads which will not only damage most AC appliances but can also set those AC appliances on fire. Another consideration is that the vast majority of these solar generators are non-repairable. After the warranty runs out, you're not going to be able to ship these units back to the manufacturer in China and have them repair them. At a typical shop rate of $125 per hour in the US, with no schematic and limited parts availability, it makes no economic sense to even attempt to repair one of these units. Once the FETs have fried and have taken the inverter's PCB with it, (And trust me, sooner rather than later, they will fry.) they basically become a brick. A far better alternative is to invest a little more money and purchase a hybrid, low frequency, transformer based inverter charger and a LFP battery. Your system will last far, far longer and can easily power high surge loads without being damaged. I know this to be true because I've spent the last 23 years repairing inverters. High frequency solar generators simply don't last when powering inductive loads and can burn your appliances, van, EV and even your home to the ground.

Ive been using my Bluetti AC200Max continuously for a year. Works fine. I can't speak for every Chinese brand but I think you are painting everything from China as poor quality and I just don't think that is the case. There are levels of quality in product no matter where you get it produced. Generally you get what you pay for. IF you see a product that seems to good to be true (cheaper than expected) it probably is for a good reason.
