I am a little bit disappointed about missing favorite apps. I know WhatsApp is making the problem himself. But like Google Assistan... It is a big part of Google. I would like to have a Gmail app too. I really Iwould like to use the Watch as a alone instrument without the phone turned on at home. BUT I had all Samsung watch and I really like how they get it better and better. A lot of functions are really useful and good. I will buy the Watch 5 too, as I still see this as the best Android watch you can buy at the moment. .

Please... please... please, if you decide to follow this tutorial, after installing the APK go back to Developers Options ( in settings ) and turn off debugging over Wifi and Debugging. Leaving those options open leaves your watch open to possible malicious attacks.

The very important comment that was mentioned at the end should be emphasized: 1. Activating Whatsapp on the watch will disconnect it from your phone 2. Multi-device beta will not solve #1. It is only for web or PC clients.

Have you figured out how to use this app on the watch and also on the phone? I do have the beta multi-join feature but it doesn't seem to allow the watch to also be synced to the same number the phone is linked to. The beta only uses QR codes to allow multidevice. If anyone knows how please let me know

I side loaded Whatsapp a long time ago on my fossil gen 5, i came to the same issue. I think we need to wait for when Whatsapp wil fully bring the feature out (multiple devices) or a wear os app, that would be the best

This will be useful when I want to use my watch only. In the moment I use phone and watch and there it must run on both or must run when I turn off the phone without new register each time. I looked in the beta for multiple device. But the second cannot be a phone and the watch is seen as phone. I use the watch 4 with LTE.

After number verification and initialization the app will close itself. Then you have to go the contacts app in your watch. Select a contact and press the message button. There you will see the complete action dialogue. Select WhatsApp and press either always or once. All set

Just tried 2/Side lowed whatsapp, like l did Google assistant. Everything went well until U/Had to put ur name & photo. There's no way to finish that section. There's nothing to click on to go to the next section. Everything wazz flawless until that. If there's a way to proceed plz let me know.. Great Vid.

Bought the watch for this video.. whatsApp installed but won't launch. I can receive calls and answer them and I can reply to messages and send audio files too but only from the notification panel. WhatsApp won't launch. Any idea how to solve this? However, telegram works perfectly. I got all the way to trying to retrieve my archives but it comes back saying "unable to install check you are connected to the internet & try again". Just saying, side loading apk-s works with Messenger as well. I have tried out with the lite version and the same approach worked as well. Albeit same story: UI not optimized for the watch. In a group chat you cannot type essentially because you cannot scroll down enough to reach the entry field. I did not try but I guess, answering voice calls or posting voice messages and pictures should be possible as these parts of the ui are visible.

Yea I have the lite version of facebook messenger and i can send voice messages and also call or receive calls no problem. Can't type a message but can receive them. All promising I do think we will get proper wear os apps at some point once other manufacturers come on board and make it viable to make the apps

Thanks for making this video in English. I tried when I saw the Argentina version. But as you say, I got kicked out in the other device, so it can't support more than 1 device login. Ok if you have 2 phone numbers. But other matter is not clear how to link the contact with WhatsApp, can you explain more? I deleted the app on my watch and re-install using the same method, but it is stucked with the number and cannot login with the new number.
