Never underestimate the power of love and the devotion of a child's defender, be it man, beast or a simple stuffed toy. When they need their defender the most is when hell stands aside and chooses to put back what was wronged.
@shadowhunter8037 Жыл бұрын
Especially that toy they hold most dear. After all, their eyes stay open in order to watch over their child, eternally protecting them from the terrors of the night.

I wanna play at this table so bad! What a story! I hope their next generation of characters has a Warlock with Fiona as a Patron.

Even better if the warlock can only be a hex blade with all spells being thorn and teddy bear themed

I really liked this one! I like to make good backstories for my builds, and this reminds me of my build "The Undying"; Half-Orc, Cleric 7 Peace, Sorcerer 1 Shadow, Warlock 3 (UA) Raven Queen, Monk 9 Long Death. Relentless Endurance, Strength of the Grave, Death Ward, and Mastery of Death mean he'll never drop below 1. The story’s only a little over a page long, but basically he was killed as a child and Raven Queen sent him back because “It is not yet your time”. She saw he was afraid of being alone so she promised, before sending him back, to watch over him with her ravens. He noticed she was alone too (his whole family was killed), so he promises to come back and visit her when he can so she wouldn’t be lonely. Over the years he has died Many times, and every time she has sent him back (the “instead falls to 1hp” flavored Constantine style where he dies between heartbeats) and what started as fondness grew to friendship, then companionship, and then love. He has embraced death to the point that he will willingly die in others’ stead (Protective Bond) to spend more time with her. However, he does not go looking for death and does not have “death wish”. For though his love is trapped there, she always sends him back with bittersweet sorrow in her eyes and the mantra “It is not yet your time”. He is torn between wanting to comfort her loneliness and the pain she feels when she has to send him back. Still, he is filled with hope, for he knows that some day she will look upon him and say "It is your time."

YIRBEL LIVES! at the start of the video: I swear if the bear gets tragically wiped out of existence I’m to flip out. After vid: goodness what a driven tale! To think I always see any fae being in particularly low grace But Mr. dobbles pulled through despite the odds! Something about the one track pursuit and really goes well with how the story is told!

Similar to a campaign I played in a fanmade fallout game. I was a talking Deathclaw trying to find the girl from a family he had befriended, campaign fell apart before we could find her but she had been kidnapped by raiders and eventually took over the group

Mr. Dobbles: Life created from the remains a broken soul and a child’s love An impossible existence that to gives hope to the children who need it most. Will Swift: Life created from a defective soul and a gift from the goddess of knowledge. A miraculous existence who lives for the sake of his empty father and those who helped guide them both. The biggest difference is that I spent most of the RP as the “material” and not the “creation”… at least on paper. In reality the most important thing is that the teddy bear was planned from an IRL perspective and Will wasn’t. I didn’t even make Raymond with his defectiveness in mind but, after mentally reviewing his personality, I realized there was something wrong with him. Not just the idiot I thought he was, but a person who can barely feel emotions. So I made an arc. One with “becoming human” as a goal. The story was well over half done and I’d just figured out why Raymond was there. Mr. Dobbles though… he’s art. A deliberate craft that took over a year. I hope I’ll be able to do something like that someday.

Not an in-depth character but in my first (and currently only) campaign, I played a Cleric who...couldn't Cleric well. This was mostly due to my lack of RP experience but ultimately the DM and I decided she had been cursed to cut her off from the majority of her Clerical abilities and once the curse was broken, would have to relearn how to use them correctly. Unfortunately that campaign fizzled out but it was fun while it lasted.
