The spells you cast would have cost a bunch and I think you cast more spells then you should have been able to. If this is the case and you were playing fast and loose with rules. Then a party assassination would be warranted. Lucky the DM let u do all that stuff and all that setup. Good story though.

Wizard are the one class I don’t mess with in character. They are the one class I can’t easily exploit weaknesses with in combat. Fighter monk barbarians, yes they have some ranged but it’s not their main strength and I’ve never met a wizard that hasn’t gotten fly at some point. Warlock, bard, cleric, Druid, Ranger, they’ve got spells and range but nothing a level 20 wizard can’t counter spell or block with some abjuration or simply just smite with some ninth level spells before they get close. In conclusion if you think there’s going to be one party member left after your betrayal it’s gonna be the wizard unless you knock him out in a back alley before he suspects anything

Sounds more like a DM NPC story... The lack of humility as seen in other stories makes this one highly suspect. That, or a secret Co-DM plot character player.

So far I have loved all of your videos! Keep it up!

Question. How does one cast multiple concentration spells? I heard him list haste and blur under the things he had cast. Isnt casting another concentration spell supposed to cancel others?
@Grubbie_Mubbie4 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that too since casting one ends the other, if you ask me this whole story sounds more like what the person wanted to happen rather than what actually happened
@borisrebic4 жыл бұрын
@@Grubbie_Mubbie or it happened in an edition before concentration was a thing. I forgot about that.
@warrenpeace89884 жыл бұрын
I’m a little late, but older editions didn’t have concentration. You could buff yourself as many times as you can. This was 3.5 edition, I believe. Fifth edition probably has concentration in order to stop casters from being overpowered with prep time. 5e takes away a lot of the other preparation based advantages that were in 3.5 and the like.

This reminded me of zee bashew’s animated spellbook on “clone” where he said “if you kill a necromancer and it was easy you probably didn’t kill him”

The way this dude talks about “friends” that he plays these games with is really off putting. Like he has a small contempt for anyone who isn’t well versed in the game.

I know the KZbind didn’t write the story btw. Well narrated.

Nah, don't be cliche. Also, self realization (of why you've been punished with cunning) hurts more than any obvious statement.

Man these things are so made up it hurts. How do u say oh I cast all this shit in my room with out the other players and dm hearing. Or the party wanting to kill another player with out the dm doing anything. Smh

There are games where this all happens via note passing. Sounds strange but if you've interacted with some of the old guard of DnD you'll here about this sort of thing. Also Vampire the Masquerade and many other heavy RP games run on secrets between the PCs and a GM who keeps his mouth shut and lets things play out.

Even though I read that story when it was posted, it's good enough to hear it too.

I do feel like his reaction was justified, but it's also harder to take him seriously when he calls the newbies Mary Sue snowflakes. A lot of players become cut throat murder hobos or greedy bastards because that's the stereotypical way people think D&D is played and because nobody really tells them otherwise. If a veteran player is playing and doesn't tell people this isn't how it should go down, they then don't have the right to talk about the new players with such contempt. I can't deny his way of teaching them a lesson is brilliant but at the same time not all that helpful. It's just gonna have the chance to encourage their cut throat behavior in future games, possibly with hurt feelings.

The wizard doesn't stay in the back because he is scared but because it gives him a better view on his pawns.

Good to see the necromancer got the party back together... ...after he level drained them to wights and controlled them.

Never piss off the necromancer in your party or you'll find yourself the next undead minion in his collection
