This game had everything! Humor, platforming, challenging gameplay, interesting game mechanics (stealing enemies abilities, saving characters has real in game impact, day and night cycles) quality voice acting, decent graphics for its time and an EPIC soundtrack! Man, this game is a true classic! It deserves a reboot or a faithful remake.
@ablationer5 жыл бұрын
Not to mention clothes changing as you got pieces of the legendary armor set. I think what really set the day night cycle apart for its time too was the fact that it actually mattered. Most of the time you play an open world RPG with day night cycle and it pretty much doesn't affect anything, which feels like a wasted opportunity. At least in that game it worked by having some stuff open only during the day, some other events only happen at night, etc.

Ever since the the ps2 sequel received poor reception,this franchise was dulled down on its future potential. But I blame it on its story and the gameplay,and the word 'sequel' wont fit its description.I'd say more its more of a spiritual sequel.With today's HD gfx and memory,even if they remade this game with its original ost,I'll buy a PS4 just to play it.Straight pre-order!!

Beautiful moments, i was poor kid, had a ps1 but my mom would only buy me one game a year, she got me musashi second hand and it was scratch so it wouldn’t get pass the entrance of the frost castle, i would wait for hours hoping one day it will, so i would just delete my data and start over. I love doing it again and again, i loved walking up at night in village and talking to the villagers, when i was 13 i started working and finally bought a good copy of musashi. Best rpg of my childhood, love that little samurai. I wanted to be like him.

We had similar experience! But in our case, it gets stuck after Soda Fountain Sky Scroll. My brother never got to finish it but I played it through emulator.

Ha nice. I remember it got stuck when I hopped in the hole the giant ant made in the vent. I remember I had to replay the whole game! I was too young to think of getting a memory card, but later I did.
@Ratchet20225 жыл бұрын
Another story is one time I barely defeated one of the bosses, Ed or Ben, with enough health to move on to the next section. So Musashi went up on the elevator to the top of Soda Fountain with all the giant pigs walking around in the garden-looking area. I had only enough health for one hit, and I couldn’t get past that section, and again, no memory card, so I ended up having to replay the game again.

Why don't more games do this? the technology to add and remove layers in music nowadays is so sophisticated that having multilayered songs like this one is basically child's play, and its such an awesome effect, yet this is one of three songs I've found in all my experience with videogame music that does this, and and this song did it so well so long ago that it actually irritates me that it hasn't been imitated to death. So ahead of its time!

My personal favorite was the base theme with just the guitar, very calm and serene.
Interestingly, if you get this track in its original minipsf format, it only comes with the starting guitar and nothing else. Glad to see someone went through the trouble of getting each variation one by one. Good stuff. Shame they never made a decent sequel to it.
