I don't know about that. Although I love this song, I can only think of one other song they did, which I really didn't care for. I'd say one of the most underrated was Brownstone. They had a lot more songs out and never got really big. Plus ALL of them could sing. Xscape was also underrated.

"All Cried Out" (duet with 112) [Allure] All alone on a Sunday morning Outside I see the rain is falling, whoa oh.. Inside I'm slowly dying But the rain will hide my crying, crying, crying And you Don't you know my tears will burn the pillow Set this place on fire 'Cause I'm tired of your lies All I needed was a simple "Hello" But the traffic was so noisy that you could not hear me cry (I) I gave you my love in vain My body never knew such pleasure, My heart never knew such pain And you, you leave me so confused... Now I'm all cried out, over you [112] Oooo I'm over you, oh yeah you Never wanted to see things your way Had to go astray Oh why was I such a fool, baby (Why was I such a fool) Oh yeah Now I see that the grass is greener Is it too late for me to find my way home, How could I be so wrong? [Allure] Leaving me all alone Don't you know my tears will cause an inferno (tears will cause an inferno baby) Romance often fades Why should I take the blame? You were the one who left me neglected (I'm so sorry baby) Apology not accepted Add me to the broken hearts you've collected (I) I gave you all of me How was I to know You were awaken so easily (I) I don't know what to do Now I'm all cried out (all cried out) over you (I) I gave you my love in vain My body never knew such pleasure My heart never knew such pain You (left me so confused) Now I'm all cried out (All cried out) Now I'm all cried out Over you [112] Please forgive me baby, oh Please forgive

Lyrically and videographically Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam version of this song (which I am told on here is the original: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sF7JhKlvn6ifedk ) after careful analysis and watching both of them several times is BETTER (although I like the Allure vocal better than Lisa Lisa). One major DIFFERENCE lyrically is between Lisa Lisa at about 2:28 of the video "Romance up in flames, why should I take the blame?" versus Allure "Romance often fades, why should I take the blame? " Obviously lyrically Lisa Lisa lyrics is MUCH more accurate to the overall narrative of the song/story. The romance is UP IN FLAMES because his cheating arse stepped out on her with other people and thus why should she take the blame... Now the allure version where if romance often fades....then no one is truly to be blamed, right?

I looked this up after hearing it on Pandora via Alexa. I knew it wasn't Lisa Lisa's version, especially when I heard 112(distinct voice) I honestly had NEVER heard this version before, and NO I don't live under a rock. But I have heard the song that comes on after it in this mix.😂😂. Allure & 112 did a nice job, though.

It's funny because around the same time (late 97) Mariah had released the Butterfly album, which had a cover of Prince's "The Beautiful Ones"...featuring Sisqo and Dru Hill. A CLASSIC btw. A cover Prince actually approved of. It's a case of a remake being better than the original. Sorry Prince, love ya! Lol; with this cover of Lisa Lisa, it's the same for me - Lisa's vocals pale in comparison to these women!! I prefer the cover to be honest. The original has its own nostalgia and value, but I prefer this version. I didn't even know it was a cover until mid-2000s. The whole thing is a masterpiece- Mariah, Allure, 112, the musical accompaniment, all is so much more intense; the gospel choir sections (Which are really just Allure's talented ladies). The arrangements, no doubt Mimi's influence, just hit harder than the 80s original and in some cases, more painfully.
