I don't need to worry about whether my speech is "cool." For a lot of people, swearing is just another part of informal conversation. People in the world are not going to censor themselves around you just because of your personal opinions. It's alright for you to choose not to swear, but you can only control yourself. Please learn from this and don't go around saying this kind of thing to other people - they'll certainly be a lot ruder to you. Also, while you haven't heard anyone trash talk Spore, that's not the same for everyone. In many of the contexts I've heard it, it's usually other gamers/content creators joking on it for being "pointless" and, as the other commenter said, "buggy" and its ridiculous DRM. (That means anti-piracy stuff, which didn't work a lot of the time and even locked people out of their own games they bought.) I'd recommend looking up the Monster Factory episodes on it, but the hosts do swear, so there's your warning in advance. Unrelated, I'm glad to see you're passionate about animation! let's say one cycle takes, say, 10 seconds (probably way too short but it'll add up), then taking over 2400 star systems would take at least 24000 seconds or almost 7 hours (and that's assuming no breaks, 100% optimisation and that all grox star systems have only one grox colony, which is also not true), so it'd take way too long in any case

@KinglyValence2 жыл бұрын

I remember (possibly years ago) an exploit that you can create a Sporepedia creature with custom Consequences (rewards/abilities that carry over to the next stages). What was unique about this was that you can start a play through in any stage with Consequences you define. If I recall correctly, if you start playing at any stage you don't get any consequences. Thought information might be useful for you stage specific speedruns! I don't remember the specific website where I got the exploit. Your video reminded me when I imported a Grox model (because I wanted to play as them) in Space Stage. I used the exploit to get any Consequences without having to play the whole game.
@KinglyValence3 жыл бұрын
That's pretty interesting! It's possible to use the 'setconsequencetrait' cheat to give any consequence traits we want for any creature too. We don't allow the consequences for Stage specific speedruns because that would normally be carried over from other levels. For Individual level speedruns, everything should just be from the one Stage we are running.

"Everyone waged war at me because I broke the galactic code, but all that did was reveal where they are" True; clearly when technologically advanced aliens completely overtake a neighboring star system the only sensible course of action is to wage war.

This is a legitimately the best strategy. Take it from me. Back when Spore originally came out. And had the timed leaderboard. I was the third person ever to complete the game and reach the center of the galaxy. How i did it was by allying with the grox and getting extremely lucky with wormholes. Kept setting down outposts on barren rocks to keep my ship fueled and didnt betray them till the final stretch to grab up planets and skipping stone through their territory.

I am sleep deprived and my first reaction to the title was me asking 'is there really a Grox named Ally in the game? Who the hell are they?'

I am so glad that people still play this game. I used to play this when i was like 10 back in the day. I even saved the windows xp computer that has all of my creatons
@KinglyValence2 жыл бұрын
Locally saved creations are in the "MySporeCreations" folder from Documents. And the saves are found under the Roaming folder in Windows. These can be transferred on to a new computer to keep playing with them so you don't have to keep the old computer alive :)

Great speedrun! I've never had spore craah, but I had this weird bug where I couldn't attack (except spit) in creature stage. Also trees startes jumping up and down if you got close
