When support for it was cancelled and the servers shut down, I was genuinely upset. Launching the game today and seeing only Maxis made creatures truly feels like a waste. Although being an Obligate Carnivore makes this challenge WAY more interesting, you actually CAN make creatures that are Opportunistic Carnivores. By giving your creature a filter feeder as well as jaws (or just a proboscis) and then continuing to eat meat, you can take the carnivore path while still keeping the omnivorous ability. As long as you don’t remove the filter feeder/proboscis after this, you can keep eating both meat and plants. (If you sell either the filter or proboscis you won’t be able to get it back since you only have access to carnivorous mouthes in creature stage with the predator card)
