The Bellagio is so beautiful! We're leaving for Vegas on Sunday and can't wait to try some of these great places you've been showing us. I usually get my steak medium rare, particularly the filet, but that looked rare to me! You're right: that lobster pot pie was a true show-stopper! Might have to go by the Patisserie and get myself one of those crepes!

I love this video!!! You guys are soooo lucky to be there! The last time I stayed at the Bellagio was in 2015; the food at their buffet was excellent but expensive. But despite the expense, the experience of being there is worth it.

As impressed as I was with the Italian place the second place I was even more impressed. That pot pie was the bomb. That steak, well the first one was not medium. I always order my steaks medium and by doing so learned over time what a medium steak should look like. Kudos to the restaurant for bringing you a whole newly cooked medium steak that looked awesome. Awesome Video!!!!!!

That second steak was perfect! I like medium too I can do medium rare but if it's medium well it's going back. That lobster pot pie looked outrageously good and the pastries mmmm Love Derek's food gasms you can really tell when something is extra good. For me, the first steak was perfect. It was definitely on the rare side of medium rare, which is how I like my filet mignon.

That filet mignon definitely looked medium rare. The cooking does continue after you take it off the heat source, but it takes five to ten minutes. The cooking they were talking about is the juices of the steak being equally distributed throughout the steak. It does rise in temperature, but I don't know if the rise would be great enough to bring that steak to medium. It only rises a few degrees.

Stayed their in September. All of their restaurants are top notch. The pizza at Lago is great. Jasmine is incredible Sadelles is my favorite breakfast place in Vegas, and the buffet is improved as well. Merry Christmas

It doesn't matter how 'we' like our steak cooked. You are paying up the butt, so for the plate not being exactly as you requested is not acceptable. That first steak was 'rare', no question. Love your videos. I still think the restaurants you feature should compensate you for advertising. Most of us would never go into a higher priced place, but you showing how good the food is will make us think about it.

I haven't tried Michael Mina or Prime in Bellagio yet, but Michael Mina's looked extraordinary! That lobster pot pie was decadent! The medium filet looked good, the other looked good but was a little undercooked to my preference too. I've been to Lago with a fountain view before for the Prix Fixe menu when they first reopened and it was great! Spago in Bellagio was also great, it's on the opposite side of the fountains and I was seated right next to the window for an up close fountain show! Another great video Derek and Catherine!

Food is so expensive and we shouldn't have to settle for something that we don't like. The first steak was medium rare. The second steak was medium. By the look of them, I would likely have enjoyed both, but I don't think there's a right or wrong way to enjoy your steak. It's a matter of taste. Good show as usual. Hope to see another soon.

Hi Derek. I prefer the medium rare. I love the texture and flavor of the warm red center with the caramelized crust. I feel the more cooked the less flavor. I can see why you prefer the medium rare, but I'm with Catherine and how how she likes her steaks.

I mostly agree with Derek. I usually like steak cooked medium over medium rare. I like to have some juicy pink but not squishy raw/rare, but sometimes medium rare works well on filet mignon. That’s the biggest hunk of filet mignon I’ve ever seen. I’d be excited to get such a big serving of it.
