Brother Wilcox,, Thank you for saying sometimes you may have a delicious, sometimes an enlightening, sometimes a swelling, sometimes a burning, sometimes an enlarging experience. You just have to know yourself. May I add sometimes a quiet, sometimes a peaceful, sometimes a whisper, sometimes a thoughtful, and sometimes a glorious experience

Hello, we are senior missionaries serving for the past 3 months in Natal Brazil. One of the highlights of our week is listening to your podcast on our 1.5 hour drive to church in Canguaretama each Sunday, where we support a small branch. Thank you for all your insights, we have been on two Israel tours with Mike and he is great. Thanks for all your dedication with your inspired gospel teaching.

A friend of mine who deals with anxiety always thought that the burning in the bosom was an anxiety attack. Once she figured out that there are lots of different ways to fill the spirit, she felt so much better about life.

Amazing as always. But now, you really need to have his son, Benjamin Wilcox, on one of your episodes. He’s amazing, and you can easily tell how wonderful it has been to have Mike S. Wilcox as a father!

Imagine Michael Wilcox as the educator and his son as the associate educator on a Fun For Less Tour. Two people and two different styles serve the same purpose. I think the job as an educator on Fun For Less Tours is one of the best jobs in the world. If I can do such job, I never want to retire. Anyhow, two educators plus the tour director and his/her spouse on a tour means the travellers on Fun For Less Tours need to have deep pockets.

He is my favorite education week teacher. My heart is always enlarged when I feel his testimony. His trials and afflictions have refined him for our good. I’m grateful for that. My testimony is never the same after I listen to his words and ponder them and plant them for my tree to grow taller and wider and stronger… his words are always indelible on my soul! Thank you for having him on the show.

In Alma 32:28 the key to know it is a good seed is it begins to Swell, Enlarges my soul, Enlighten my understanding, and is Delicious to me. I was stunned one day when I realized the acronym for the key to know it is a good seed is SEED! Swells, Enlarges, Enlightens and is Delicious. I am sure it only works in the English language, but it does work in the English language, and was a little testimony to me of the beauty of the Book of Mormon. It was delicious!

Hello, I heard this podcast as I drove from Susquehanna to Niagara to Palmyra to Maine. As you were discussing the infinite Atonement, I was reminded of one of my favorite definitions of what that means by Pres. Nelson. In October 1996 conference, he said this, “In preparatory times of the Old Testament, the practice of atonement was finite-meaning it had an end. It was a symbolic forecast of the definitive Atonement of Jesus the Christ. His Atonement is infinite-without an end. It was also infinite in that all humankind would be saved from never-ending death. It was infinite in terms of His immense suffering. It was infinite in time, putting an end to the preceding prototype of animal sacrifice. It was infinite in scope-it was to be done once for all. And the mercy of the Atonement extends not only to an infinite number of people, but also to an infinite number of worlds created by Him. It was infinite beyond any human scale of measurement or mortal comprehension. Jesus was the only one who could offer such an infinite atonement, since He was born of a mortal mother and an immortal Father. Because of that unique birthright, Jesus was an infinite Being.”

1:12:02- (Hank & John thank you for this podcast! I learn SO much.) I love the Faith Primary song! Sometimes we are caught up and limited by semantics.. I dont think the song is wrong and the words are surely describing these scriptures. I immediately thought of the 4th article of Faith --> faith IN Jesus Christ! I can plant "Faith in Jesus Christ" Also, maybe it's not "faith" that we plant, but Faith is an action word...so faith = to-plant, the action of planting. By choosing to plant, you are choosing to have faith in Jesus Christ. If I'm going to keep Jesus in my heart, I have to choose to put him there and keep him there. That doesn't happen by accident, it takes practice and constant reminders.

This was very useful. By analogy, I have known people whose expectations went a little something beyond the mark. They planted corn seed and expected ice cream and when the ice cream didn't happen, they abandoned the experiment. It wasn't that they were not exercising some form of faith, but that their faith was misdirected into expecting what they wanted, instead of being related to the seed being planted.

Companion scripture to Alma 32 is Moroni 7:16 For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God. 17 But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him.

The Book of Mormon is a good book as it produces good fruits. I treat the Book of Mormon as my vitamin supplements to my daily meal. I read the Book little by little everyday. I may not absorb it all at once. I can read a chapter over and over again like I listen to a podcast at least more than 5 times. By July, 2025, I should have some good idea about the Book of Mormon.

I had burning in busom when I started the study with a sister in Jehovah’s Witnesses. I was so hot in their teaching that I brought Watchtower magazines and the Bible with me on my cruise to Eastern and Western Caribbeans. I am not with Jehovah’s Witnesses now for some personal reasons. My faith in Christ and Jehovah God remains.

I study the Bible. The seed is the Word of God. The world is complicated. At a certain point of our lives, we just have to keep the seed in our hearts and practice ourselves quietly to avoid persecution. Other people can observe our behaviour. Good people will accept us. Bad people may gossip behind us or mock us. Whatever the situation maybe, we are in peace with ourselves because we know our behaviours and actions are acceptable by God. We don’t need to please the world. Stay calm and polite in a distance from the people who may be the shakers, interrupters, haters and destroyers of our faith.

The seed is Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, not just faith, not just Jesus Christ. Faith anchored in Jesus Christ. This faith will not fail. Faith in anything else, like I faith you can do such and such has the possibility to fail.

I see things on a nerdy level as there’s a lot of spiritual stuff in movies, shows, tv, games, ect if you look closely. The Land Before Time is a good example as the Dinosaurs journey to the great valley can be seen as the plan of salvation and Littlefoots mother saying "let your heart guided you it whispers so listen closely" souds a lot like she’s saying listen to the holy ghost, and you can clearly see how the job to a better land is simular to the exodus. See how I think?
