The black is so much easier to see demos than even the lavender/lilac of the previous two shape videos. Demos and beginner videos really benefit from the high contrast colors because we can see what a teacher is doing. This will be so helpful when I decide to hit the button and get gel, files and e-file. (I never wear nails. Occupational hazard with horses. My mom loves having them done though.)

This was a very educational video. I still struggle to make my almond nails look like they should be. And I’m not getting it right. No I ‘ve seen how you need to file I remember my lessons more and thought about how fast I file my nails. That’s where I go completely wrong. Thanks for this video.

The comment about the fingers being uneven on each side and pinching the finger is SO helpful! The amount of times I’ve wrongly shaped because I’ve used the end/edge of the finger as a guide ❤️

I use almond shape nails, I file off the tip and leave it there so I can achieve a ballerina shape 🤗

I don't get my nails done cause of my job. I keep mine so short I accidentally cut myself triming them sometimes. I basically don't want nails. But coffin nails are my favorite shape. If they were convenient for me I'd choose them

Hey, I'm the first to comment! Did you know there is a gel product that you can use where you can roll this gel into a ball and then apply it to your nails? I don't know what brands make it, but I've seen it a lot on Ali Express. Also, I just want to say that the polish on your right hand is absolutely gorgeous. I love that shade of pink. ❤️❤️❤️

I have heard of this gel. My only concern is touching it with your fingers expose you to Product. I haven’t worked with it yet because I’d have to confirm with a chemist that it’s OK to do that. I’m very worried about that.

​@@NailCareerEducationHi Suzie, on the subject of the "ball of gel", I have the one Max Estrada fm Enailcourture sells, & the product seems fine on your skin whilst you working with it, but if some gets cured onto your skin, it can burn like a bi@#$! But it would be very interesting to hear fm your scientist friend (ps: have found air temperature definitely affects the ability to roll that gel into a ball...) 💝

I'm playing guitar as a aspirant pro artist, so I'm playing... a lot of guitar. As the same time, I really like the idea of having beautiful nails that can fit with my ikigai (carreer). My polish rarely last for a very long time, even when I put multiple layers of varnish and top coat. So it end up looking a bit too trashy for my own taste. I'm playing various musical inclinaisons including metal, so it goes hard on my nails even with a pick and modulated strenght of guitar stroking. Would the gel varnish gonna help me keep my nails done longer? I'm thinking as well of the lenght. I really love having beautiful long nails. At the same time, I need a shape that goes well with my musical instrument. Otherwise, when I do chords, it get a wacky crunchy sound while hurting my nails a bit. There must be a way (ROLF), so maybe this coffin shape would work ! Well, thanks a lot for your wonderful videos and advices, keep doing the good stuff !! ^^

Honestly there is no way. I play fiddle and guitar along with some other instruments. It affects your tone too much at least for the four fingers you use to fret. You could have the other fingers with longer nails but it does look a little silly. I know someone who did finger picking on guitar and he would have short left fingers to fret and stiletto clear acrylics to fingerpick on his right hand. My suggestion is just do gel nail polish on your natural nails or do soft gel tips and file them down until you can play comfortably.
