Your videos have something special. Can’t put my finger on it, but your videos are the most exciting to watch compared to dozens of others recording laps I’ve seen. I feel like I’m in the seat! Maybe it’s your handheld camera work shoot eye level which provides authentic movement compared to a fixed rig. Whatever the formula is, Keep up the great work! Also really appreciate you laying out the costs involved in other videos.

@@Wirenfeldt1990 There's always minor tinkering but no, this is pretty much it's final incarnation now. I had a 997.2 GT3CS in addition to this car for 5 years but it didn't really get used and this one did. The 997 is gone but this one's a keeper.

He has a ton of experience, he is so precise. No drama is the best kinds of drivers. The tire squealing drivers may get one lap but try driving like that lap after lap good chance u crash eventually

It is really not so easy to critique via a video but his driving appeared very very smooth, very pleasurable. Maybe not a zero margin lap and some turn ins looked a bit early (wet line ?) but the smoothness was awesome. It really looked like Sunday driving but obviously really fast. That’s the smoothness I’d like to have. (Could he be Jacky Ickx in disguise?) Bridge to gantry 7:30.

Supernice bloke, great driver. The Egg headlights are somewhat the same as what Subaru did to the Impreza back then. Different, but not fugly. Nicer than nowadays LED headlights for sure. Oldskool boy talking here :)

About 15,000km on the 4.0, so just starting to losen up . The .2RS 'box had less that 2K km on it when this was filmed. Still getting used to the way they work together which is why some of the down-changes are a bit mis-timed. Muscle memory is a bitch when it's been ingrained over 12 years! I have averaged about 20 trackdays per year over the 12 years I've owned the car.

@@ДимитърГенев-ш4и For that sort of use, they have a completely bulletproof engine & gearbox. There's a 997.1 GT3 in the UK with over 160K road miles (260K KM) that drives like new. Everything is vastly over-engineered for the road, these things are meant to be driven on a track. The suspension & brakes have weaknesses but you only see that when when you drive on track

Hopefully not a rude question, but 3rd engine by choice (upgrades) or by chance (breakage)? If the latter, I'd be curious to know what went amiss? I know of at least one Mezger motor with more miles and potentially comparable track time in a 996 Turbo in the 'States (one rebuild, it proved unnecessary, but once it was open they followed through to my understanding).
